    • Easily knocked off the lens.
I purchased this to use on a long vacation on the advice of a professional photographer that I follow and respect. He recommended getting a lens hood rather than using a UV filter (not any particular brand) to protect the lens surface. I found that even when threaded on the lens carefully, the slightest bump knocked this off. I was constantly having this fall off my lens (sometimes without my knowledge when someone would pick it up and hand it to me). I have a couple of lenses of this size and it didn't stay on any of them. I even tried putting a filter on the lens and screwing it onto the filter with the same results. This Flower Lens Hood works great and defiantly helps to keep unwanted sun rays out of images. I purchased this for my mother for mother's day and she absolutely loves it! We were both surprised with the quality of the lens and are both very happy with the purchase.

I've been wanting one of these for awhile for my Canon and I am so happy that I got it in time for taking Christmas pictures of my kids!
