Thread is fine and my tank wasn't. But was able to get an adapter. Once I had that it worked well. Currently functions as a dog water and plant water source. Easy to install on a water tank. Good pumping capacity and well worth the price.

Rated at 3 because it had no instructions. To assemble shaft refer to picture. It's made out of plastic, there are pro's and con's you be the judge. For it works good and meets my needs, I just use it to transfer water from my 55gal drums. When assembling just hand tighten and Teflon tape all your threads parts. Has good water flow once you start pumping. Easy assembly but refer to pics. Good value for the price and seems that with care will last a while. I'm satisfied. Does its job with no problem

Pretty disappointed with this one. From the start, it felt flimsy and awkward to use. Installed it on a standard 55-gallon drum and it barely pumped anything without a ton of effort. The handle feels cheap, and after a few uses, it started leaking around the seal. Definitely not what I expected for something that’s supposed to handle fuel. Might work for water or something light, but for diesel or gas? Hard pass. Save your money and get something more reliable.

OK for the cost, would get more stars if it came with OUTLET hose long enough to use with 55 gal drum. If you cannot get syphon action going, it takes 9-10 strokes to pump 1 gallon out of drum...way too much work.

We use this on a 55 gallon barrel of RO water. It is very easy to use and unless you are almost out of water it pumps very fast and the priming of the pump is not long at all, just a few pumps. It seems pretty sturdy for being made of plastic. We have used it for over a year and have had no problems with it at all. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a pump for a 55 gallon barrel. The only issue is that the handle itself is a little loose when pumping but that is only because of it being made of plastic. As long as it is treated like it is made of plastic and not metal there will not be a problem
