I have so many different water containers varying from 5-100 gallons. I bought these pumps at a grocery store to get the water out of my containers. But after thinking about it I realized that I needed something more durable. I sunk all this money in to buying nice water drums and then go cheap on the pump.....not smart..... I thought this one looked really sturdy. There were no reviews when I ordered it. It seemed like it would fit my needs. It's a little less sturdy than I was looking for. It is helpful, but I still want to get something I know will last for years, as well as gallons and gallons of liquid. I should probably get something metal. The feature I liked on this is the telescoping pipe. I didn't want to buy something for all of the different sized drums/containers I have. That would be a pain. This one is good if you're only pulling a little of water out at a time, because it's a pump as you go type of pump, not a syphon type of pump. So again, I need to get something to do that for me when I need to empty a drum fast. This will be handy and it's light and easy to transport so it has it's place. But it's not filling all my needs. ... show more

    • Lever action is right
This pump, doesn’t use suction in any form so you will need to pump for every bit of water you want out of that barrel. The motion and process is simple enough but it is worth noting that you will have to work for every drop lol. The pump itself isn’t very sturdy but gets the job done. Be sure to tighten the little plastic nut where the silver rod goes into the spigot if it begins to leak, other than having to do that fairly often the pump gets the job done.
