I replaced my Raw Water pump on my 1993 Cobalt 198, same as the 196, 4.3L with Volvo Penta out drive, The original Raw Walter pump had a V/P part # 857451, this Johnson Pumps 10-24228-1 F5B-9 is an exact replacement. I originally ordered this pump for my Indmar motor that is in a 02' Malibu wakesetter. However the pump was the incorrect one. There are 2 versions of this pump(I didn't know there is one with a smaller impeller and another with a larger impeller). I ordered the smaller one. Although the page stated that this fits the indmar motor. Note: Indmar uses the bigger one. The supplier shipped me the correct one ASAP. If you are tired of normal marine water pumps, this is your answer. I cannot believe the amount of water with thing generates. Replaced the stock raw water pumps on my (2) 1980 Crusader 270s. My water temperature gauge started working again. Apparently the temperature sensor needs WATER to work. Super easy installation on the crank pulley of the motor (did I call that the right name?). ... show more
