First off, let me clarify that these are not high-end studio acoustic panels, which would cost significantly more. That said, for the price and quantity, they offer great value. I’ve seen some reviews mentioning issues with expansion and defects. Having purchased these twice, I can confirm that a few panels can be thinner than expected. Out of my two orders, only the second batch had a few defective panels—just four, to be exact. I didn’t experience any problems with expansion; I left them in a spare room for a few days, and they expanded nicely. In terms of thickness, I measured them and found they are about 2.5 cm (1 inch) from the base to the top of the wedge, as advertised. While there is slight variation in size, most panels measure around 30 cm (12 in) on each side. Overall, this product offers excellent value for the price. The foam thickness is accurate, the dimensions are mostly consistent, and the defective units are minimal. They do take time to expand to their proper size. For those struggling to get these panels to adhere to walls: standard double-sided tape or command strips won’t work well due to the porous nature of the foam. Instead, I recommend using a heavy-duty construction adhesive, like DynaGrip. I’ve tried several brands, but this one feels a bit sturdier. I apply adhesive in dollops (about 1x1x1 cm) at the corners and center of each panel, which keeps them securely in place—even under pressure. The adhesive bonds well to various surfaces, including cement, wood, and drywall. It can even hold up panels on the ceiling, but make sure to press them firmly to avoid any chances of them falling during drying. If you’re looking to improve your home studio or reduce echo in a noisy room, these panels are an affordable choice. Just a reminder: they won’t soundproof your room entirely, but they do help with sound treatment. Pairing them with rugs and corner bass absorbers can enhance the effect.

For this product it does help with echo control however does not sound proof the room until you spend the time and money to actually make it soundproof at the same time I did have to stick them in the laundry dryer for at least 10 minutes maybe longer on the lowest heat you can go to fluff out the foam panels from being extremely tightly compressed from shipping after doing that there all fluffed out ready to use and do not have any ruined material I did however had a hard time finding the right adhesive that sticks to the foam panels itself only because I’m living in a place that I don’t wanna ruin the walls command strips do not stick to the foam panels itself it does however stick if you put something permanent to the foam like cardboard or thin wood or something and then use the command strips to stick to the wall if your like me wanting to remove them without ruining the walls overall for me personally I am satisfied with this product unless your someone who is way more professional than me for which your looking for something fancy then this product may not be for you

First off, these are NOT high density foam (like most sound proofing foam). This is just the same as like packing foam. It may have some minimal sound proofing capabilities, but it will be pretty minor. It may give you the look of a sound proofing room/wall, but again won't help actually with sound that much. This may be better for stopping echoes in a room, rather than preventing sound from escaping a room type thing. For the price, it may do what you need.

When I received my first box I let them expand for the time it said. One pack expanded no problem, the other packs seemed to be stuck together on one side. So, I immediately started a return. But, when I left it overnight they all had expanded. I was so happy with it I purchased another box. So, when I say don't stress if they look like they're not expanding give them a day or so. Then, if it still looks like they are not right then do what you need to do. I haven't installed them yet. But, I've had the acoustic foam that was $25 a square and these look and feel like they will work. I'll try to post again after I've installed them and tested them out.

I am using these to reduce the echo in a sound booth used for voice-over work. They come vacuum packed so they are very flat when they arrive. It took overnight for all of them to fully form into the final shape but they did all form properly finally. I have them mounted to a sheet of corrugated plastic with velcro tabs and then that is mounted behind the microphone. They work okay. I am also using 2" panel which I alternate with these and the thicker panels seem to work a bit better to reduce the echo, but the combination of both seems to work better than either of style alone. This might just be because there are more of them covering a larger area, but I am happy with the result in any case. This is certainly a cheap and easy approach to sound treatment.
