I bought this heater about 1 year ago it kept temperature okay nothing to brag about but months later it started giving me a E1E error and next thing that happen was it started to lose its heating Element went from 79 degrees to 71 and never worked right since. Now it’s just stays at 71 and won’t get any hotter. Would look for a different heater if I was you. ... show more

Heater seems to hold it's temperature in my 40 gallon tank. The only problem with it is that the instructions are written poorly in English. I still haven't figured out how to change from centigrade to farenheit.

Probably the best heater I've ever had. It's the only heater I've ever had that actually shows what the water temperature is all the time so you can see why, and when it's on. It is 1-2 degrees off from another digital probe thermometer I have in the tank, but it's consistently that way so you could adjust for that (I also don't know which one is right). Heaters tend to get bad as they age, and I haven't had this one long enough to tell, but so far this is the best one I've ever had as far as actually maintaining a specific temperature goes. It's similarly priced, or even cheaper than traditional glass ones with the same wattage, it's worth trying. ... show more
