So I have a battery draw on my car, apparently a pretty bad one too. It will drain my fully cjarged battery in about an hour. The battery is new and the alternator charges at 13.7 constantly. I don't have the time to track down the issue so I bought this remote battery kill switch. It doesn't take long at all to install nor os it difficult. Its actually quite easy and it works flawlessly, the best part... it's very inexpensive and the fob or small Keychain remote has the feel of quality with a nice and sleek design. My daughter had a short or some faulty electrical component in her KIA. It drained the battery after sitting for 2 days. As you may know trying to find resolutions to these issues is very difficult. I bought this and put it on her car. Perfect workaround. Easy install but look at the pictures people provide as the + and - markings on the product are a bit confusing. Inspect every mm of your parts if you dare to buy. Installed three days ago on daughter’s CX5 that has manufacturer known drain issue. Yesterday, daughter calls and says lights and bells went off when she shifted in to drive - bells stopped and she started driving. I was on phone with her and knew it was something with battery and quickly tried to tell her to pull over but she already entered highway. Sure enough, just as I told her to safely move to shoulder when she found next area since she was about to go downhill a curvy mountain road, entire car lost power and shut down… imagine hearing your child say “Oh my God, I’ve got nothing!”. I drive an hour, pop the hood and wiggle negative- lifts right off - alloy terminal connector they sent was cracked at the bolt end - see pics. I’m kicking myself for not inspecting the part fully beforehand, but brand new, it was rainy and dark when I installed. Closer examination in bright sunlight? It was cracked at manufacturing and painted over. See pic. You can see cracked through edge is silver painted. Almost lost my daughter down that road if she had gone 1000 more feet to the crest and headed down - with rock face on one side of road, guide rail on right that dropped down thousand feet. The $19 refund would of been a slap in the face if she had an accident. ... show more

Instructions were understandable, but almost a child's rendering of the wiring diagram. Some typos in the words, but I got through it ok. Is working exactly as stated, now to see how long it lasts. The durability will be it's test.

I finally set it up, just follow the instructions on the web page here, make sure you're following the instructions for your particular model. This is great for my old Honda that is easily stolen and also has a parasitic leak. I did test to see what would happen if I turned it off while driving, nothing happened. Apparently at least those '90s early 2000 Hondas will be fine if the negative disconnects. Imagine it could cause electrical problems though. It's just nice to know what would happen if it did fail while driving down the highway. If anything bad happens I'll update this review, but as of now it works great it's nicely priced and it's a great idea. ... show more
