I purchased these to cut in half and make two sets of alligator to ring terminal cables, but this set of jumper cables is too nice to cut apart! Impressively the conductors are actually 0AWG (rare to find on jumper cables), the clamps are heavy, large, and well made with a copper strap connecting the two jaw halves for a better connection, and the crimps connecting the cables to the clamps are well done. It even came in a carrying bag. These aren't high end commercial cables but you aren't going to find those for anywhere near this price - these are high quality residential style cables. They are copper clad aluminum which saves a lot of money over pure copper and for jumper cable applications I don't see that as a negative. The only downside? Now I need to purchase another set of lesser quality cables for my project that I won't feel guilty cutting in half. :( ... show more

I got this for my son as he's living in snow country. Great little carry bag to keep it organized and a simple guide to explain and show how to connect the vehicles. Also love the length as he drives a larger SUV and you never know how close you can get to a dead vehicle.
