First, it’s NOT a Clore JNC660 equivalent, or similar full-size made-for-purpose jumper/booster. It uses a 20v DeWalt power tool battery (the version I bought) on a 12v vehicle system. There are NO SAFETY FEATURES built in to this simple adapter to protect circuitry and components of a vehicle electrical system. As such, you can potentially do as much harm as good if you don’t follow the instructions. It’s made for short term use only, and depending on how bad your vehicle battery is may not work. BUT, when you turn the key and get no start, it gives you a good chance to get going IF you also have remembered to keep the power tool battery charged that you’re using with this adapter. I have Clores and/or NOCOs in my vehicles, but got this for my SxS 4 wheeler as I always have power tools/batteries with me when at my lease and this is small to pack. It worked good to bump start another person’s ATV that the battery was too run down to turn over. I used a 5aH DeWalt 20v battery. Yes, I could put a NOCO in not much more space and never worry about electronics damage but I can also hand this over to others to use with a lot less getting it back in useable condition anxiety… It’s a very simple worked/didn’t work device…..IF you use it as directed…

It works much better than I thought possible to be honest. Also can be used with flexvolt batteries and runs in the low 17 volt range. I drove a Chevrolet 2500 about 10 miles on a 4ah 20v battery. It worked amazing!

This jumper attachment is amazing. It beats carrying a heavy and expensive jump pack. You just pop a dewalt battery on and your ready to go. If you kill the battery, pop it off and throw another on. This is an amazing solution for jump starting needs. I have one issue, and its possibly a big one. If you constantly crank it, it will drain the battery out completely. Im not sure if it has low voltage protection, but it has drained my batteries down to the point that the battery level light doesn't light up at all. I use weatly dewalt batteries (off brand) for any non dewalt accessories like this, but either way just keep an eye on battery level. I wouldn't recommend taking it down to 0 charge. Mine recharged fine afterwards, but thats a big risk to take with the cost of batteries. Even with that one issue I still believe this is an amazing purchase.
