Hey, if you're only spending 12 bucks, what do you expect? I find this tripod to be lightweight (can carry it anywhere), it IS sturdy when folded out, and I've used it for many GoPro timelapses and nightlapses. Yes this is cheap and built that way, but it is perfect for my GoPro silver Hero4. I have lugged this thing around AZ for a few months now, from the desert to the forest, it still holds up. Sturdy enough to support my camera and power bank. convenient storage pouch which also holds a few GoPro accessories within. so if you plan on slappin' some big ol' honkin' camera on here it will not work for you. All seems decent. It is extremely light, but when extended and set, seems stable enough. I am using this for a light weight action camera, so hoping it won't be "too light" and blow over in a minor breeze. If so, it would be plenty easy enough to add a couple pounds of weight to it. Mount is easy to access, comes with an adapter to hold those action cameras already, so it appears to be the whole intent of this design. Price is awesome for what you get, and I would say, it is a real deal at this price, but will require you are not rough with it. I can see it would likely bend very easily, but again, all the latches and knobs are good quality and seem to do their jobs perfectly. Well designed for what it's intent is ... show more

Its perfect for beginners or if you're on budget. However, I wish it had a lil bit more weight because if you try to film outside on a windy day....it will shake a little or fall. Still its a great tripod and it'll last you a long time if you take care of it and be mindful.

It is a $15 item. So for a $15 item it is a 3.5 star review. If it was a $25 item it would have been a -1 star and returned. Expect the need to epoxy where the legs go into the the mount. Aggravating but no big deal. Also, the 3 collapsible supports are "rinky" with snap tabs and one popped off first time I went to set it up. These can not be glued as they need to move when opening up and closing legs. I will need to mess with these to get them more permanent. Likely drill a small hole and run a paperclip through, bend ends of paper clip, and that should make it permanent . I do like it that it is super light. I do not need a fancy super sturdy stand as this is a back up, or duplicate, for an extra GoPro camera I have. My main camera is set on a better quality stand. So for $15 I'll mess with it and it will serve the purpose. ... show more

Very nice tripod, with lots of little things to turn to adjust height, tilt both left and right, and forward and back, and good construction. Just don't wrench things down, or put lots of pressure on plastic bits and this tripod will work fantastically. It all collapses down to a respectable 2 feet or so, and has a nice little bag to put it in. Well worth the money. ... show more

I was hesitant to buy this after reading several 1 star reviews with complaints of sturdiness. Definitely light weight and flimsy but plenty good enough for holding a go pro up and filming. I love that it gets up to 50 inches tall because its perfect for setting up and standing in front of to film. I would definitely recommend this, especially for the price. got this product last month and only got to use it for a few times to record my kids soccer games, i never really used the maximum height and when i didn't i notice it becomes way to fragile, so anyway i as was potting away the last extension fell off and it's impossible to put it back so i had to throw it away since even if try to use it with out the last extension it constantly fells off. it's cheap enough that you can gamble but if you will need to use it on max height i would not recommend it. ... show more
