I have a Canon Powershot ELP110HS. The little screw on the tripod is just a bit long. And as such the camera will not tighten all the way down to the base and flops around. I was able to remedy this with a trip to the local hardware store to obtain 14 cents worth of small washers stack up on the screw to make up the distance. The camera now tightens down tight and works with the tripod with no problems. I imagine this mount is likely fairly standard and will work with the majority of cameras out there. But I wanted to share my experience with my little Canon in case anybody else has a similar issue. I love the little tripod and would recommend it to anybody wanting an inexpensive and versatile tripod. I attached some pictures of what I used and what I came up with as a solution. granted it's not the most elegant solution but until I come up with a nice small piece of rubber tubing instead of the metal washers these will do fine. ... show more

Absolutely no problems with this tripod it was everything I needed and arrived at my house and only a couple days. I used this particular tripod for the GoPro fusion using it to take 3-D photos in a building for a 3-D tour. The packaging said that it was compatible with all GoPro hero models but basically if it works for those it’ll work for any GoPro that you have. Like I said absolutely no problems with this thing for the low price I was actually pretty impressed with the functionality of this tripod. Only thing I would point out is that the plastic is pretty cheap looking it’s very light weight but I’m not sure that it’s the most durable. I think as long as you are careful and don’t throw it around or drop it too much it shouldn’t be an issue. Honestly I would expect to pay a lot more for a tripod like this, it certainly gets the job done. You can pretty much use the tripod to shoot at any height all the way from the floor up to about eye level. If you have a GoPro and want a taller more traditional type of tripod for it (as compared to what usually comes with most gopro product) this product should do absolutely fine for you. ... show more

I got 2 of these to use as ice fishing rod holders. For fishing outside, or inside a house that does not have wall mounted holders. Bought some 1.25" diameter "Furniture grade" PVC for the rod tubes. Some people use 1.5", but 1.25" works great for my rod handles. Chop a 4.5" piece of PVC, drill a proper sized hole in the proper location, and screw the mounting bolt into the hole. Done. With legs bent low as shown in the pic, it holds the rod and doesn't tip forward even when a fish is on the line pulling drag out (unless the drag is set really tight). Greatest thing is they pack up nicely. Squeeze the clip and remove the rod pipe from the tripod, and straighten the tripod legs out and they pack up in small spaces. ... show more

I bought this just for the GoPro adapter alone. The adapter is kind of hart to use. I am sure a GoPro brand adapter will be much easier to mount a camera on. But look at the price. The tripod is very flimsy but works better than nothing. If you are going to use a tripod extensively, spend a lot more money and get a better one. But this one works... ... show more

With this tripod, you get what you pay for. I agree with many of the other reviewers here on the pros and cons of this little device: Pros: - Very cheap for a usable tripod - The built-in level is a great feature! - Has a good aesthetic appearance to it - When broken down, it's very small, about 14-inches long - Comes with travel bag, tripod mount, wipe cloth, lots of accessories - Easy to adjust and customize size and angles Cons: - Made with cheap materials: plastic and extremely thin aluminum - When fully extended, it's very flimsy and almost worthless because of how much it will sway Recommendation: At this price point, BUY. At the smallest height, it is very sturdy. In the middle height setting, it's still sturdy enough for good usage. At the third and longest height, it's legs start to bend and it's nearly useless........but it's $12!!!! If you want something professional that will hold up in a snowstorm, then buy a professional-grade tripod. Professional tripods are easily upwards of $100. This does the job for amateurs. Another option to keep sturdiness: don't extend the tripod past the 2nd legs and instead use an extension pole on the top for more height ... show more

Lightweight but flimsy tripod. The camera mount shoe is hard to put in place, doesn't quite fit without a little jiggly pressure. And a concern that it will break eventually. It does have a mount for a GoPro, which can be removed in a regular camera can be attached as well. Would not be good for a heavy camera at all. Works fine for a GoPro, but I'm not expecting this to last very long. You get what you pay for in a tripod, this is inexpensive. As I said I don't have expectations for it to last forever. I'm not returning it, it serves it short-term purpose, but I can't give a strong recommendation. It is what it is. ... show more

I bought this flexible tripod to use with my action cameras and it works very well. I was surprised at how easy it was to wrap this around different objects like tree branches, and bars. The legs are very flexible and makes getting the perfect shot that much easier. I like that it has some what of a quick release plate on top so that way you can attach and remove your camera very fast with no unscrewing. The black and red color way was an added bonus since those are my two favorite colors. The somewhat of a ball-head swivels in all directions which again makes for really good shots. I would say for the price it is a pretty well built tripod. Now remember this isn't going to hold your big camera, it is not sturdy enough and it will tip over with a lot of weight. ... show more

I was hesitant to buy this after reading several 1 star reviews with complaints of sturdiness. Definitely light weight and flimsy but plenty good enough for holding a go pro up and filming. I love that it gets up to 50 inches tall because its perfect for setting up and standing in front of to film. I would definitely recommend this, especially for the price.
