I am 5'4 and these chair sit up very tall. Trying to assembly it is very very difficult and aggravating. Screw holes DO NOT match up on atleast half of holes. Spend alittle more money and get a better deal. (From a different company).

    • Assembly is a pain in the rearend

The assembly is difficult because the holes don’t always align which causes different panels to be pushed or pulled to force alignment. The end result was a chair that wobbled horribly. After seeing the results of the one chair I assembled, I dissambled it and repacked it for return. The kick in the gut came when returning it, the cost to return is on you and is near the same cost as the item. $185 to UPS ground from St. Louis, MO to Ontario, CA. I ended up reassembling and not tightening anything until fully assembled and stood seats up to eliminate wobbling and it worked. More difficult to assemble but fully worth it considering the end results. The seats are much taller than l expected so please pay attention if you’re not wanting bar height seats. The seller did offer to send another chair but since I got it together my way I refused. The table arrived 3 days after the chairs and ottomans. Pretty comfortable when using the ottoman, not so much when not using it. I’m 6’ tall and my feet barely touch the ground when sitting fully back in the chair. All in all I would not recommend these unless you are looking for something specific to this style. Only giving the second star because the seller did offer to send another chair. We found this pretty easy to assemble. Hint: don't tighten bolts too much until all other holes on each step have a bolt also hand screwed in, otherwise it may seem like holes are out of wack, they are fine, just need to leave a little wiggle room before tightening them ALL down. Very pretty!

Once we got everything put together I was really happy with my purchase. It’s a very nice set. The problem is it’s so hard to put together. A helpful hint is to leave all of the connections loose and tighten them up after all are in place. Even doing this it takes two people and is VERY time consuming! ... show more
