It's a good simple safe for the price but it's got a couple of downsides. The inside height is not accounting for the shelf. With the shelf on, you won't be able to fit a long rifle. I tried my M1 and it wouldn't fit. You can get some of those adhesive shelf supports to raise the shelf level and it will do the trick. The light is pretty useless. I got some motion sensor lights with magnetic base and attached it to the inside, which works great. The locking mechanism feels solid and the pad comes with option for two codes, which I could never figure out even with the instructions. I ended up sticking to just one. It is battery operated. It beeps when the battery runs low and it also comes with an emergency connector to connect a power bank in case the battery dies completely. Additionally, it comes with a set of keys. The small safe inside is great to hold ammo or other items. The door has 3 sleeves for handguns and the main safe will take 4 rifles. The safe itself has decent weight to it and looks very nice. It comes with some mounting hardware but doesn't work very well so I ended up using my own. Overall, a great safe for the price. ... show more

It's a great little gun safe if you don't have but a few rifles and handguns. It has multiple ways to access the safe and a back up if the safe fails to unlock. Mine was missing the battery back up and the customer service team was very responsvie, kept in communication with me and sent the missing part. The safe was easy to put together. The door itself came assembled with the lock in place. I am only giving 1 star as the lock did not function properly. You could spin the dial to lock and unlock without inserting a key or entering a code. Pretty much defeats the whole reason for a safe.
