This review is for the 5 Gallon Water Jug, Portable Camping Water Containers with Spigot BPA Free Emergency Water Jug Water Tank Storage No Leakage. So up for review today we have a very nice 5 gallon water jug in a nice dark green color! This is a really nice jug, it arrived in it's box and I was please to see it had a sealed plastic wrap to ensure it stayed clean and assured it was a mbrand new item. It's a thick food safe plastic HDPE, it's lightweight but weighs 2 Lbs which tells you it's not flimsy and can handle the job it's designed for. The jug has 2 handles, a good spout or screw on sealing cap to install on the bottom side opening and a nice BIG wide fill hole on top (with sealing screw on cap) that you can fit your hand inside to be able to clean/scrub the inside. Now I'm a woman and have small hands, so my hands fit easily. but if you're a man with big hands you'll have to just try it out LOL. Silicone seals inside caps/spout to help ensure no leaking too. There is an extension piece you can put on the spout. The spout has a screw open close and you control the flow with it. It comes with a soft foam scrubber brush with a handle. Also there is a water bag but I'm a bit confused how to use it? There's no place to hook it on say like under the spout. It's folded up, so unfold it and it's like a small flexible bucket, it has like a plastic pinch tab buckle clasp thing on each side but there's no strap to hook onto it for like a handle? Also a really awesome design feature is when you unscrew the big fill hole lid on top, the screw in spout is actuall on the underside of the cap in a special screw on center piece! This insures you won't lose it and it will stay clen until ready to use it! I love it! The spout extension piece is loose inside the jug, I think you can attach it to the screw on spout and have it be inside the jug too. Just an FYI, the spout extension is not as long as it looks in the pics. All accessory parts are inside the jug when you get it. This jug has a good design with it's size and good flat wider bottom to sit stable where you place it. This item would be helped to actually have pics show for the listing. I took a chance and looked at it, if you scroll down there are pics and more info. I was satisfied with the look of it and so ordered it. This jug allows you to store 5 gallons of water at home for emergency use, or take with you to go camping. Or pack it empty and then filter/boil your water, let it cool and then fill the jug. This is a rugged jug that stand up well to use. I've noy had one of these jugs before and I'm very happy with it. Regular price $29.99 per the listing and I think it's worth the price! As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

I didn't realize just how much water this jug can hold. It took about five minutes at my Kitchen sink to fill it 2/3 of capacity. Then I found out how much water weighs. But on to the design and functioning. The container is a dark forest green. It has a large lid at one end and a smaller lid at the other. It was a good thing I looked inside the jug when it came. I found a sponge on a stick (think - cleaning) There was a small spout which collapses in on itself and then extends about 9 inches. This is used when the jug is in the vertical position with the spout at the bottom. You can fill smaller containers from this spout. When the spout is not in use - it can be collapsed and then the small cap can be placed on the inside of the large opening's cap. The cap on the large opening can be screwed to either end of the jug. I have had water sitting in the jug now for a day. This morning I used a dipper to get a taste. It has no chemical taste and no odor. That plus the fact that no BPA's were used to make this is a good thing. The large opening is big enough for my hand and forearm to easily reach all the interior surfaces. This will make cleaning easy. One big surprise was included inside the jug. There is what looks like a water-tight bag that resembles those used to store electronics and wallets, etc. while canoeing kayaking and whitewater rafting. I am not entirely certain why it is included. Perhaps to store valuables out of sight in an unusual place while you go hiking? For a solo traveler like myself, this is a lot of water and will provide my needs for several days cooking, washing and drinking. Most important is making morning coffee. For a family, it will probably be refilled daily depending on use. The built in handles are carefully placed for either resting on the long flat side or the smaller vertical position. This jug is made of very strong plastic and will not be easily damaged like some of the collapsible jugs. If you have read many of my reviews you will see that a good design is very important to me. This is a good design. It is a good product.

This water container is what I need for camping, picnics or other gatherings. It’s easy to fill, but most importantly it has an opening big enough to allow me to get a hand inside to clean it. In the past I just used a stand to hold the 5 gallon water bottles that we get delivered, but those bottles take up a lot of space and don’t allow for things to be packed on or near it. This one that is more cube shaped makes packing things around and on top of it much more friendly. The container is stamped HDPR so it shouldn’t have any BPA issues, but the caps are a rigid plastic so u don’t know if they are BPA free as well. I don’t plan on storing water in the jugs for long periods so it isn’t a huge concern for me. If that is a concern for you, at least this jug’s design allows for storage where the water is not in contact with either caps which is a plus. I have tried the collapsible jugs for camping but have found that their instability isn’t great and they are more prone to leaks and even rolling off the table (that was a learning moment!). The spigot is also worth mentioning. It turns to open and close versus a can so you can ensure it stays closed and the gasket inside makes sure it doesn’t leak. The small round knob may be more difficult for people with arthritis to operate.
