It offers a variety of opening methods using the number pad and two keys. This is one of those times you need to read the manual. Inside the safe is small lockbox integrated to the top with a key lock. This would be helpful for firearms, jewelry or other sensitive items. The locking bars are heavy duty. Arrived well packaged and without any damage. Box was somewhat messed up but product unscathed. Really like this one, I think worth the price. It’s not a bank safe but much better than expected for price point. Metal is thick enough to deter all but hardcore safe burglars. Door seam is too thin to attempt to pry. Locking feature is really cool. Can use code only, or require master key and code. Inner box has a key lock as well. Master and backup keys are high security cut keys. So if you really want to keep something secure, put in inner box, lock it. Lock safe with master key and code access. Important, to do code only, you simply leave master key lock in unlocked position, which then is code only. If you relock the master key lock, it’ll be that master key plus code. Nice! Bright light and nice material inside. 4aa batteries. Key hook on door. Nice shelf too. Comes with wall or floor anchors. Comes with rubber feet too. I’ve had lots of experience with these of late. This is a nice one to have. Lots of bolts for door too, including top and bottom of door. It just feels very secure and think it would be a decent option for many looking for a lock box to keep things safe. Comes with a fire proof document bag too, nice bonus!

For one thing, I researched a lot of safes and I purchased another one (piece of garbage) and it took 31 days to arrive from that big boat in china. My adam's apple got tough to swallow the longer it took to get here. When it did, I wasn't surprised at all the dents and dings in the metal. This was a five foot tall four drawer "fireproof" cabinet. Oh, did I mention that the fire proofing was missing too? So now I am in a battle with the owner about a refund. Which takes me to this safe that was delivered in just four days from good ole Amazon. The safe is about 30 inches tall and pretty rugged by my standards. The directions could be better, but after tripping the alarm four times I finally got everything set to include the time, date, and day. Once I mount it to the floor, it should be stout and hard to break-in. However, there's that one word in the title again that keeps jumping out at me like the last safe I just bought. "Fireproof". This safe may possibly, and I say possibly lightly, fire resistant. There is a very thin piece of, I'm not really sure what it is, but it's definitely not fireproofing foam. I'm hoping the owner reads these write-ups so I can converse with him. Not worth the $300 in my book.

This safe was not as described: 1) It was described as 5 cubic feet, but using outside measurements (L=17", W=15", H=27"), it's less than 4 cubic feet & 2) Weight purported to be 70 lbs, but is actually only 30 lbs. Studiness of construction of the safe is more like a filing cabinet. In addition, instructions for setting up date, time, & pass codes were not correct (perhaps they were for a different model?). Bypass this safe. Look for another product.
