Inside the plastic handle there is a solid (feels like metal) core encased the webbing strap. The included hardware for attaching the handles is also good quality. Did not purchase the handles for a kayak but for cornhole boards, these are very durable handles and are made for outside use. Very strong and comfortable grip! Great product and works well for my application

Many of the Remo world drums (tubanos, ashikos, ngomas, etc.) originally shipped with a rubber-covered spring steel strap. The rubber on these wears out and the steel breaks (leaving sharp edges). While newer versions of these drums now ship with a handle that looks nearly identical to these kayak handles, the replacements from Remo are greatly overpriced. For safety sake, I replaced all the older Remo handles with these Ocean Kayak handles. They are a PERFECT fit, and much more reasonable price. I'll be recommending these to other schools too.

I installed them on sit in kayaks to make it easier to load by myself and also make a strap for my paddle under it. Had to use longer bolts but work perfect.

If you looked at “Rufflands kennels” and you need these as an addition to your dogs kennel they are perfect. Our dog is 76!lbs and was flying in cargo with Aeromexico and the thing with our kennel Purchased at petsmart is that it’s large size kennels doesn’t come with handles on it… and it’s a requirement along with metal screws on the kennel… so I drilled these handles in put 2 handles on each side and they look as if they came with the kernel and def get the job done…. I will update review once we pass thru our airline check in 3 weeks———UPDATE NOV 17TH, 2021 the kennel was approved by Aeromexico Airlines had Zero problems with Senesca in Mexico City when they checked my pooch and his documentation waited for our layover approved again by the airline and arrived in perfect condition! Just a tip freeze the water tray so it slowly melts thru your dogs travel and it doesn’t create a mess in his kennel——— message for any additional questions happy to help!

I used these handles to replace luggage handles on my Samsonite luggage. I needed to get screws 1/4" longer than what was provided from the local hardware store, but well worth it. If its strong enough to carry a canoe, it will be strong for the luggage!

Used as a replacement side handle for my old Hobie Oasis -- the handle construction feels solid and robust, and the attachment is by the use of a single large diameter screw (also included) -- which is perfect for the Hobie design. There are other handle designs with two smaller screws on each side, but those need to be modified (by drilling on of the holes to a larger diameter) to attach to the hobie. This design is perfect.
