These are really nice lights. I like the black trim on the outside of the light, which matches the fittings in the kitchens and bathrooms of our rental homes. For some unknown reason, whenever renters leave, we always find light bulbs and shades missing. These slim LED light fixtures have solved this problem. We started off installing the 6 inch LED lights, but their light distribution in a room is not as good as these 12 inch lights. Each light has a 3-position light brightness switch. For the kitchen and bathrooms we set them at 6000k - this is a nice bright white light. For the living rooms and hallways we set them at 4000K - this is a neutral light, and for the bedrooms we set them to 3000K soft warm light. The tenants are happy with the light settings and nobody is tampering with the lights anymore. These slim LED fixtures are supposed to last 25,000 hours. Based on the average use of a light it should last many years. I got these room lights after trying out a similar, but different brand, small 6" light in a closet to replace a lightning damaged fixture. I really liked how that worked out so decided to try replacing a 3-bulb standard fixture with this new fixture instead of just replacing the LED bulbs that had gone bad. The fixture being so tight to the ceiling helped with the even pattern of the lighting. And the color selection option was appreciated. I have always preferred the 6K style and that's hard to find on LED socketed bulbs. The hardware included with these were a step above. It included the lever style wire connectors and a retention cable to hang the fixture from the mount while you make up the wire connectors. Handy if not really necessary on a fixture this light. And drywall and electric box screws are included. The one area that could have used a bit of improvement was the mount itself. The plastic base attached easily but had a bit of flex to it. Worked fine for me, but might break or warp if needing to be tightened more in a different situation. Since the light is just a twist-on to the ears of the mount, warping could prevent installation. But on a nice flat ceiling and tightened with care, it clipped on easily for me. ... show more

I needed to replace the fluorescent bulbs in my garage. These LED fixtures are a bargain, and cost about the same as new fluorescent bulbs would cost, so I replaced the old fixtures. These LED panels are low profile and sealed, so no more insects or dust getting inside like with my old fluorescent fixtures. What I like… - Stylish and low profile. - Pick your white light temperature. Simply set the switch on the back for 3000, 4000 or 6000 kelvin. I'm using 4000. (See pic) - Easy mounting. Attach the mounting ring, retainer wire, cables and twist to attach. - Includes snap to close wire connectors. Much easier than bell-type screw connectors. (See pic) What to consider... - The description says to use these with an On/Off switch (as in non dimmable). However the box states they are dimmable. I tested them with a dimmer and, for me, they worked well without flicker. The box included four 12" round led panels, mounting hardware and wire connectors and an installation guide.
