This design is not working well for me. The picture capture is great, no problem with that. The solid one piece unit just pulls too much when I insert the HDMI cable in it. My laptop is on the edge of a small desk and a lot of pressure is put on the USB port.

    • Not Easy To Use
I tried to connect it to our switch and it needed a app on a laptop. Even then it didn't work. Could be a faulty HDMI cord, but I don't know. Do not recommend for switch.

This video capture device helps me record HDMI output from another laptop. I’m able to record video in OBS and it works great for my use case. I had to wait a while for the drivers to install on windows automatically before I could use the device, so keep this in mind. Works well with Windows 10 x64. Plugs into usb port and computer immediately recognizes dongle as usb video. This allows any computer with a usb port to capture an hdmi source whether its another computer screen, a digitial camera or anything else that outputs in hdmi.

    • Works fine
If you need an extra capture card to throw in a backpack and take on the go, this one is fine. It's not hard to set up, and FYI works in Linux in my experience. Be aware though, it's not a passthrough, so you'll be using your capture app as the display for whatever HDMI source you're using.

The media could not be loaded. I’m using streamlabs so it could very well be my software but the capture card works great! The only issue I’m coming across is that it reads like if it’s my webcam so I can’t stream my game and my webcam which defeats a purpose of me wanting a capture card! Still it gets very clear images and there might be a lag in noticing but I need to try my PS5 on it as well! UPDATE!!! I changed the 4 stars to 5 stars as streamlabs was my issue!!! Now I’m capturing both my facecam and the game!!! Runs awesome at 60FPS and it lets me stream my console games!!! ... show more
