  • 5.0 out of 5 stars PS5 and Next gen USER PLEASE READ!
Style: 4K HDMI to HDMI + SPDIF + 3.5mm
Man this product is amazing! Long story short I just recently updated my soundbar. Along with that also my Gaming monitor. Sadly the monitor does have any sound output besides the headphone jack and the soundbar doesn't have and AUX in plugin. But man this save me a ton work. Everything works perfect on this. the PS5 sound comes in perfect and the picture stays the same. I'm going to say that will also work with the next gen xbox also if you decide to go that route also. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY! Something that can eliminate audio delay
Style: 4K HDMI to HDMI + SPDIF + 3.5mm
I was using ARC on my Roku 65" TV but I had very noticeable audio lag when I output as anything but stereo audio. If I used optical, it minimized it a bit but it was still there. So I read some reviews and tried this much like how I used to have an A/V receiver to do the same thing. Basically, the HDMI output from the hub goes into this which strips out the audio that I send over to the 5.1 sound bar. Audio lag is completely unnoticeable now. This was always an issue with all TVs I ever had even going back about 10+ years on HDMI... it made playing games almost unbearable... but it made watching TV harder..... it wasn't until I hooked up an A/V receiver and then output that to the TV without the bitstream audio where the audio remained in sync. So this box does that same job and the sync is so well done. This saved me about $200 on buying another 4K receiver too to solve this problem. Now I need a larger HDMI hub since I'm running everything through this now and outputting the optical to my sound bar. ARC is very good... but the lag definitely is not. One thing is that sometimes I get an issue where the colorspace or something is off when I go from game mode with HDR back to regular.... the colors get all messed up. The solution is to put the HDMI hub and this device into an Alexa controlled plug (probably about $20 or less). Set up a routine so that when it happens that it cuts power to both the HDMI hub and this device and then turns it back on 3 seconds later. When you do that, it will fix the HDMI colorspace problem. Annoying? Yes, partially. But audio sync is a bigger one and with the Alexa routine, I don't have to get up when it happens. ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Three stars
Style: 4K HDMI to HDMI + SPDIF + 3.5mm
I have it three start because the audio comes and goes while I’m playing, have to reset or pause the video or game to get audio from it back on. Image is perfectly clear.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Windows calls this extractor a splitter
Style: 4K HDMI to HDMI + SPDIF + 3.5mm
I am using this splitter to have sound from my video card. A/V recievers have inputs for videogame consoles, or TVs. Without taking risks, I would have to have the newest A/V reciever to output sound from the computer when the computer is attached to TV with an HDMI cable. Otherwise, I would have to take risks by knowing if the HDMI technology of the gpu/video card is the same version as the game input of the A/V receiver... This extractor is attaced to a decoder. The Windows sound panel displays the decoders (Dolby/DTS) for the extractor when the decoder is attaced to the extractor. I use a headphone amplifier to increase the volume of the sound from the devices. Since the sound from video card is not loud, now, I am able to use my videocard without preoccuptions because the volume is much greater. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars basically solid in a monday-friday, 9-5 way.
Style: 4K HDMI to HDMI + SPDIF + 3.5mm
This splits audio out of an HDMI source into 3.5mm headphone and optical, but the optical stream doesn't match the listed spec of 96k. And I don't mean just-as-good 48, I mean something more like BT.
