I installed the Auto Start/Stop Eliminator on my 2025 Subaru Outback last week and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I have always disliked the Auto Start/Stop feature on my cars and is now mandatory on most new vehicles. Having to turn the switch off to disable the Auto Start/Stop feature every time you start your car is annoying and irritating. This system is ridiculous plus the fuel savings over a year is minimal at best. New cars and engines are well designed, are more efficient than ever and the emissions savings with the Auto Start/Stop system is minimal. As a former auto mechanic, the Auto Start/Stop system on a vehicle equipped with it adds thousands more engine start-up cycles to a vehicle will cause more wear and tear on an engine’s moving parts, electronics and components, regardless of what some people would like you to believe. The installation of the Auto Start/Stop Eliminator purchased on Amazon was not that difficult. The instructions and video were very helpful and well explained. The most difficulty was reinstalling the plastic headliner unit which covers the Eyesight cameras and access to the wiring connections. It took a bit of maneuvering to connect the unit onto the corresponding hooks. Once the installation of the Auto Start/Eliminator was complete and I started up my vehicle. The Auto Start/Start in-dash switch was off and remains off every time I start my car. That was a beautiful sight to see that switch “OFF” permanently. Highly recommend and I am so glad that I found this wonderful Auto Start/Stop Eliminator on Amazon. I wish that I had discovered this item sooner. ... show more

I ordered the 4D Tech Auto Start Stop Eliminator for our 2022 OBW. Although I watched the installation video several times this does come with instructions. It took roughly 15 minutes to install. After installation was completed, I started our vehicle, and the auto start/stop was already disabled. We drove around town without any issues. No more having to disable this feature every time you start the vehicle. Definitely worth the money! :-) ... show more

Wish I found out about this product years ago. Autostart is annoying! Easy to install and worked instantly. However, I did notice that it does have "side effects". On the passenger side, the seatbelt warning light does not come on if someone unbuckles. My husband LOVES to unbuckle halfway down our driveway and we noticed it no longer gives the warning light or bings when he does that. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Application is correct. Easy Install. A little pricey but effective. Note: Whatever state, on or off that the car is in when you turn it off, it will return to that state. So if you leave the function on it will return to on, if left off, it will return to off, so it preserves the original car function if you want. ... show more

As someone else mentioned, it works PERFECTLY in a 2025 OBW, I’m sure just as well as any in this gen. Install was straight forward, I did have a dash tool from another project, it made very easy work of the clips. Just watch the install video and it’s that easy.
