I installed the Auto Start/Stop Eliminator on my 2025 Subaru Outback last week and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I have always disliked the Auto Start/Stop feature on my cars and is now mandatory on most new vehicles. Having to turn the switch off to disable the Auto Start/Stop feature every time you start your car is annoying and irritating. This system is ridiculous plus the fuel savings over a year is minimal at best. New cars and engines are well designed, are more efficient than ever and the emissions savings with the Auto Start/Stop system is minimal. As a former auto mechanic, the Auto Start/Stop system on a vehicle equipped with it adds thousands more engine start-up cycles to a vehicle will cause more wear and tear on an engine’s moving parts, electronics and components, regardless of what some people would like you to believe. The installation of the Auto Start/Stop Eliminator purchased on Amazon was not that difficult. The instructions and video were very helpful and well explained. The most difficulty was reinstalling the plastic headliner unit which covers the Eyesight cameras and access to the wiring connections. It took a bit of maneuvering to connect the unit onto the corresponding hooks. Once the installation of the Auto Start/Eliminator was complete and I started up my vehicle. The Auto Start/Start in-dash switch was off and remains off every time I start my car. That was a beautiful sight to see that switch “OFF” permanently. Highly recommend and I am so glad that I found this wonderful Auto Start/Stop Eliminator on Amazon. I wish that I had discovered this item sooner.

First off, this was super simple to install. I first pulled up the video for the Outback. It did not match my 2024 Outback XT Onyx so then went to the printed instructions that came with this item - it was a perfect match and only took me 5 min to install. At first, I thought it was defective because it didn't seem to remember my last settings. I called support to talk to them and the really nice and knowledgeable support fella that only took 2 min to get on the line walked e through my own Idiocracy, without making me feel like an idiot! I was testing with the AVH button as I thought it controlled that too. Once he clarified, I realized all was well. Just my long winded version of saying this works great, their support is top notch and I'll not the brightest light - yet it still worked out. Thx!

Subaru 2022 Outback - Does what is says. Install took about 3 minutes. The two 8mm bolts that hold the cover on are in there really tight. Had to put some mustard on it to break them loose. This thing pops in between the wiring harness for the Eyesight. The zip tie they provide is useless since it isn't long enough. I skipped that part. I just wish I didn't have to pay a hundred bucks to not feel like I'm getting rear-ended at every stop light....

Easy to install in our 2024 Outback Subaru. The instructions are great if you scan the QR code, takes about 20-30 minutes to install. No more stop start in this car, now to buy a second one for our 2024 Forrester. It fit perfectly and works as it’s intended, keeps the car running.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Application is correct. Easy Install. A little pricey but effective. Note: Whatever state, on or off that the car is in when you turn it off, it will return to that state. So if you leave the function on it will return to on, if left off, it will return to off, so it preserves the original car function if you want.

Wish I found out about this product years ago. Autostart is annoying! Easy to install and worked instantly. However, I did notice that it does have "side effects". On the passenger side, the seatbelt warning light does not come on if someone unbuckles. My husband LOVES to unbuckle halfway down our driveway and we noticed it no longer gives the warning light or bings when he does that.

2024 Outback Touring XT. Finally, eliminated the motor being turned off and re-starting abruptly/jerking at Stop signs and traffic lights. It doesn't have to be this way, it's poorly engineered. Frankly, if I had a repeat I wouldn't have bought this car because of this and a couple of other quirks. My wife's 2023 Volvo XC60 performs Start and Stop flawlessly, you don't even know it's happening. Now I don't have to remember to manually turn it off each time starting. A month or so since the install and it works perfectly. Easy to install if directions are followed. Just be careful in prying off the covering. If it fails, I'll return and re-post.

I ordered the 4D Tech Auto Start Stop Eliminator for our 2022 OBW. Although I watched the installation video several times this does come with instructions. It took roughly 15 minutes to install. After installation was completed, I started our vehicle, and the auto start/stop was already disabled. We drove around town without any issues. No more having to disable this feature every time you start the vehicle. Definitely worth the money! :-)
