Water it about once a week with approximately 2-3 cups. Ensure excess water drains. Adjust as needed for your environment. Never let White Bird Of Paradise sit in water or saturated soil. It’s about 24-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. White Bird Of Paradise is generally a slow grower, depending on environment and care provided. Boost growth in spring and summer with a fertilizer labeled for potted plants following the product’s instructions. When White Bird Of Paradise outgrows its current container, repot by gently removing it from its container and placing it in a 2-inch wider container. Fill with potting mix and water thoroughly. Hardy outdoors in USDA Zones 10-12.Exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact. Quality plant received in good condition. Moisture in the soil was adequate and the appearance was near pristine health-wise. Ensure you are watering adequately and that it receives enough sun, and it will thrive as mine has. I wish I could give this ZERO stars. I ordered a money tree and a bird of paradise from Costa farms expecting healthy vibrant plants like the ones advertised. What did I receive? a complete disaster. Dead leaves, wilted stems, and what looks like a completely dead plant right out of the box. I took photos as proof (see attached) so no one thinks i'm exaggerating. How does cost of farms think this is acceptable? The packaging was terrible and the plants arrived looking like they had been abandoned in a warehouse for weeks. The money tree is barely clinging to life and the Bird of Paradise? Might as well have been a Bird of Disaster . If I wanted a plant funeral, I would have just picked something up from the clearance rack at my local garden center. Costa farms do the right thing - Either refund me or allow me to swap this disaster for a real plant at a local location. Customers beware: This is likely a complete waste of money. If you're thinking about ordering from them, Just don't. Buy local where you can actually see what you're getting, because Costa Farms clearly doesn't care about quality or customer satisfaction. Amazon, I urge you to reconsider selling products from a company that sends out half dead plants and expects customers just to deal with it. This is absolutely unacceptable! ... show more

Plants arrived at just under 3 feet no big issue there they will grow. I am a little disappointed however the pots are plane and not like the pictures in the ad and the plants were a little beat up.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE- May 16th This girl grows like a wildflower. I've gotten 3 new beautiful leaves since February. I did make a boo-boo. Put her out on my back deck early spring and, the wind with the help of my two German Shepherds really tore up the leaves brushing up against her. But, it's ok. She's got character and, as I stated in my first review BOP's leaves rip easily and, it's natural in their habitat. I repotted her about two weeks ago and, the newest leaf that emerged over the weekend was my biggest. If you love Bird Of Paradise this is a must have. This was a wishlist plant for me. And, I love her. She's back in my sunroom in front of a, south facing window. Whatever you do...wait a bit before repotting. Let her get used to your home. And, enjoy her beauty. If you received her with the white planter make sure there is no standing water in it when watering. You certainly don't want root rot. UPDATE- my BOP has a new leaf about to open in less than 2 weeks!!! 2/12/24 First of all my box came in perfect condition. Thank you, USPS. Second, upon opening the top of the box as soon as I saw the first leaf. I, gasped. What an enormous beauty. After, I unpacked her and, got the plastic wrap off I was surprised to see not, 1 but, 2 plants in the pot!!! What a nice surprise. I absolutely will be separating after they have acclimated to the conditions of my sunroom. I read a ton of reviews on this. And, some folks complained about the decorative pot they did NOT receive. Please, pay attention when ordering. There are two options for this BOP. With two different prices. I also read complaints about the tears in the leaves. People, in this plants natural environment there will be tears. That is part of what makes this plant perfectly, imperfect. I just want to say to, Costa Farms you've put done yourself. I am beyond please with my purchase. If this plant is on your wishlist. Get it, NOW!!! Worde do not describe the atmosphere it brings to a room. Ahh, I'm so, in love. If you do receive a plant with yellowing. Just trim it off. Make sure to use sanitized cutters. I am now a Costa Farms customer for life!!!! ... show more
