Fixed the door drop issue. New part about one inch shorter than old part which could be due to wear (~15 yrs old). Easy to install and keeps door from dropping open. Made in China, only time will tell about durability.

The door is now perfectly balanced. Minimal tools took me about an hour to do both sites. Tip use a piece of coat hanger wire to stretch the spring on to the slot. (Mine is an LG dishwasher)

    • Easy Fix for DDD (Dishwasher Door Drop) syndrome.
When the door on our dishwasher suddenly became a heavy, quick opening shin killer I knew something had to be done soon, or our medical costs were going to ramp up just to cover bandages alone. Fortunately a quick browse through YouTube showed me the repair that would be the saving grace for our bruised and occasionally bleeding shins.
