I bought the SPT counter top dishwasher and I wasn't sure if the adapter was included, so I bought this. The supplied adapter with the dishwasher was a very poor fit in the faucet. As a matter of fact if I applied any sideways pressure on the adapter it would fall out! So I grabbed this one. Right away the quality was obvious. It fit snug in the faucet, any sideways pressure didn't result in any leaks. If you buy the SPT countertop dishwasher (btw it's great) spend the 7 dollars and get this. First thing I noticed about this is how the "Aerator" was basically a bunch of parts just floating inside the metal housing instead of a whole unit like most aerators. At first, I thought it was broken but then just realized it was poorly designed and almost not even an aerator at all. Second thing I noticed was how much it leaked when trying to use it. I even got plyers and cranked it down which made no difference. I then tried adding more rubber washers from the original which had a secondary thicker rubber washer but that made no difference either. Finally I decided this is just not meant to be and removed it for good. This should be no more than $5 so that no one complains and tries to return it because at this price, you are stupid not to return this garbage. I have the Haier HLP21N Washer which seems to connect fine as far as the quick connect diameter, but the way it seals to the faucet is just a no go. I would suggest avoiding this unless u are okay with leaks or wasted water... Oh, and look at how bad the threads are in the pictures! one side has perforated markings from an extremely poor production during the manufacturing process which I doubt that helped any when trying to make a good seal to the faucet. PLEASE NOTE: The shorter one in the pictures is the Original and the longer/larger looking one is the one you get if you purchase this junk. ... show more

    • Replacement for portable washing machine faucet adapter
I got a Panda brand portable washing machine with a quick-release hose that connects to the sink faucet. The adapter that came with the washing machine was damaged, so I was happy to find this replacement. The metal isn’t as thick or sturdy as the one that came with my washing machine, but it fit my standard kitchen sink faucet and connected perfectly to the washing machine hose. It comes with a mesh aerator insert which is helpful for controlling the water flow. I recommend using the aerator, it really makes a difference and helps the washing machine work properly. At times when the washing machine was running it made water spray out around the collar of the adapter, but I added plumber’s tape underneath it, and it’s just a small drip now. I don’t know if this is entirely the fault of the adapter though, so I didn’t factor it into my score. ... show more

Not sure how you could screw up such a simple item, but these guys did. The adaptor kinda sorta screws into the faucet, but no matter what I did with the O rings and plumbers tape around the screw threads, the thing leaks AND makes a "singing" noise whenever the water is turned on. I imagine the manufacturing specs are a bit on the loose side. It works just well enough that I am using it anyway (portable washer hooked up to Kohler faucet), but I have to keep the flow rate low. ... show more

    • Works with modifications for Haier washer, does not work well with SPT dishwasher.
My beloved fiance who I love forever no matter what lost the adapter that came with our Haier portable washing machine (we have the 1.5 cu ft model) so I ordered this one. Previously, when we wanted to do laundry, we would unscrew our regular faucet aerator and put on the Haier adapter and then screw the regular one back on when we were all done. I was really looking forward to using this one and leaving it on all of the time. Unfortunately, it leaked quite a bit when I put it on. The only combination I could find to get it to stop leaking was to remove the screen and plastic aerator parts and add a washer from our regular faucet aerator. Then it goes on just fine AND the laundry gets done faster because there is nothing to limit the water flow. It does still leak but only drops. Of course, then I still have to switch back when done. We recently got an SPT countertop dishwasher which came with its own adapter. When I tried to attach it to this adapter, however, it flew right off (scared the crap out of me) when I turned the faucet on, as another commenter stated. So I'm between 2 and 3 stars on this. It works with some modifications but I paid almost $13 with shipping for something that doesn't even do what I want it to do or that it's advertised to do. ... show more

My mom bought me a used SPT SD-9241W dishwasher but it didn't come with the adaptor. I bought this one because of the good reviews (and no hardware stores had one in stock in my area) but was unsure if it would work (you never really know when you're buying something online). Thankfully It worked! At first I thought I'd have to return it because my faucet is male, but if you remove the top black ring the adapter can be used for a male sink as well as the female. Happy with my purchase and it stands up to the pressure, I've had no problems with it so far. ... show more

I bought this product as a back up for the portable dishwasher I purchased just in case. I own and older model mobile home. I haven't had to use it yet but upon arrival I did check to make sure that was the correct part to fit, and as described and it is.

    • Works for my haier HLP21N washing machine
Forgot to take mine when I recently moved so I had to search for another one for my haier HLP21N washing machine. I was initially going to give this 3 stars because it isn't quite as good as the original. The water pressure is significantly decreased, but it is so much easier to put on and take off so I compromised to give this a 4 star rating. I didn't have any problem with the attachment leaking like some other reviewers did. It went on pretty easily and I had to tighten it a bit with some pliers, so my only complaint is the water pressure. ... show more
