I didn't give any stars for Easy To Install, because it's an under-sink plumbing item and nothing there is EVER easy to install. Otherwise, I tried to find one of these at my local True Value Hardware and good luck. But Amazon has them and it got here quickly enough. I'd removed my useless garbage disposal unit and plumbed it back to a regular drain. This place is on a septic, and if you want to pay to have your septic pumped every other year, use a garbage disposal. Otherwise throw the garbage in the garbage can. ... show more

I know there is an upward diverter to prevent dishwater flow going up the main stem. But, upon inspection, I found a partial piece of plastic inside the bottom of the joint where the dishwasher side stem interfaces with the main tube. This means the dishwasher waste would pool about a quarter of an inch in depth, never fully emptying into the main tube... Eventually causing mold and stench. I solved the problem by inserting a round file to file off that piece of manufacturing obstruction. Having said that, it works very well as a "one piece solution" to join the kitchen strainer drain to the waste pipe. I especially like how fast the dishwasher now drains. That dishwasher sidearm is a generous 3/4 in. for a fast discharge into the main tube. I would have given 5 stars if it did not have that manufacturing issue. Just inspect yours to make sure you don't have that issue. ... show more

It was quick and easy to install. Less connections the better in my opinion. It didn’t come with washers as others stated, but I had some on hand. It was nice being able to connect directly to the sink drain without using an extension piece three connections instead of two. I originally installed one from Home Depot, but they only had the ones with an extension, which I didn’t like. After looking for a better connection I found this one and it was perfect! I recommend it and it even says made in USA. I can’t complain about that. ... show more
