This incubator is a great size. It hatches a lot of chicks in a compact space, or you don't have to load it fully if you only want a few. The unit assembled quickly. The bottom has a large reservoir for water, to keep the humidity up, with clear labels of where NOT to pour water. The 2 levels each have a ring with egg slots in it that spaces and rotates the eggs as timed (preset is 90 minutes). The unit plugs into a standard electrical outlet, or it has cables for use with a 12 volt battery (the transformer says it can draw 6 amps). The pre-programmed cycle let's you know when the hatching will start and has reminders such as when you should candle the eggs (see images of instructions). It is set to turn the eggs every 90 minutes. A custom mode is available for changing all the parameters. The instructions are pretty detailed and clear, so even a novice should be guaranteed success I didn't hatch any eggs yet, but the unit does come on and it reaches the set temperature and the turning mechanism operates. This unit is made to automate nearly all of the incubation process. It is a good deal compared to purchasing chicks.

I ran this as a test batch, and it did really well. It held temperature and humidity consistently, which is obviously the biggest thing you want in an incubator. I still recommend using a couple of small temp/humidity gauges in different spots inside (something a lot of people overlook with any incubator), just to make sure everything is even across the whole unit. Placement matters too—keep it somewhere stable with no drafts or big temperature swings in the room, and you’ll get the best results out of it. The automatic features are a big plus. The egg turner works as expected, the humidity system keeps things steady, and the built-in candler and alerts are actually useful, not just gimmicks. It takes a lot of the guesswork out, especially if you’re not trying to babysit it constantly. Overall, this is a solid, easy-to-use incubator that performs well and makes the process more hands-off. For the price, it’s a really good value and a great option whether you’re testing batches or running regular hatches.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this incubator so far. Even though it only has preset options for chicken eggs, the customizable settings make it easy to adapt for other types, and it holds far more eggs than most models in this price range. I ran a test cycle and everything functioned smoothly—temperature and humidity stayed stable, and the automatic turning worked exactly as described. The power box did get a little warm after about an hour, but not alarmingly so. I’m really looking forward to trying it with actual eggs and seeing how the hatch rate turns out.

This incubator is really easy to use and takes a lot of the guesswork out of the process. I like that it controls the temperature and humidity automatically and even turns the eggs for you, which makes everything feel a lot more hands off. The built in candler and alerts are nice extras too. Overall it feels well designed and convenient, especially if you’re new to incubating or just want something simple and reliable.

I don't think this 48-egg incubator is for beginners because it's kind of extensive. The double decker part is interesting but im not sure how evenly it incubates the top eggs. I had a lower hatching rate then the ones without the top row. Candling light is really bright. This reads temperature, humidity, day count, and turn times. I love how it looks and works but i have to rotate the eggs.
