  • Set up my pole in my Garage
I couldn't have chosen a better product! This is a review based off of my first day. 1. Shipping: I continued to receive updates and it came quickly. I didnt have to sign for it. It shipped fedex and was dropped off at my door. 2. Packaging: Perfect condition. No damage and just as it said it would be. 3. Assembly: Easy! If you watch the Youtube video its extremely easy. Just type in "Assemble X pole". I got it up in 25-30 minutes (with crappy internet) 4. Stability: Outstanding! I was doing spins and beginner invert attempts. I moved it from static to spinning a bunch of times and tried out both settings with ease. The reason I really wanted to make a review is because the only space I have for my pole is in my two car garage. I planned on using one of the beams (not a complete ceiling) so I was nervous it wouldnt work. I was also nervous about the concrete floors. So, the pole went up perfectly on the beam, no issues, no movement, seriously- just holding awesome! I also spent days searching (while the pole was shipping) for yoga mats I could put under the pole that would be large enough to do some floor work with and just was not set on anything then realized I had a large thin area rug in my living room that I hated there, so I put it under my pole and it works amazing. no need to tape it to the garage floor, it stays put with the pole leverage. Simply put- I love this product! ... show more

  • Easier than expected
Easier meaning the delivery and set up of the pole. It arrived within days, and was left inside my backyard gate which I was pleased about because I had read in another review that if I wasn't at home to sign for it, it would be taken back to the delivery center and I would have to retrieve it. Glad about that. So then I watched a couple youtube instructional videos as the reviews advised to do, but I found that in my case, I got more information from the enclosed directions sent with the pole. Go figure. I am a 5'4" woman, 120 lbs, and I was able to assemble it by myself up until the point of standing it on its end and tightening it to the ceiling. At that point I asked my 16 year old daughter, 5'6" 125 lbs, to help. A second person is needed to hold the pole straight while the first person twists and twists the pole, into a tight position on the ceiling. Most importantly, the second person is needed to hold a magnetic level on the pole to make sure it is perfectly vertical. Start to finish- about 1 1/2 hrs.to install. Love the pole, glad I got 45 diameter instead of 50 for my small hands. If I could do it again, I would not get the chrome, it is impossibly slippery. I have ordered Dry Hands grip aid by the case, and this remedies the problem instantly. LOVE LOVE LOVE poling, and I would repeat this purchase (with the titanium gold finish) in a heartbeat. Its extremely sturdy and secure, easy switching from static to spinny mode. ... show more

  • awesome pole! watch the set up video.
I had an x pole for about 5 years. my ex kept it. i decided to get another. this one is way more amazing than the last. easier to install, i did it by myself (watch the video rather than reading the directions. the bottom mount makes it super simple. i had solicited help before i watched the video, because of the way the old top mount went up.) it is also faster spinning than the previous generation(s) of the x pole. while i am no longer a pole dancer for pay, the work out is still amazing and i love it like no other exercise. x-pole will always be my number one choice for a dance pole!! yes, its portable, even comes with handy carrying cases, sturdy, fast, and sexy. bring the club and the gym home with this awesome pole! plus, microfiber got it to me in great time for a great price. i am thoroughly thrilled with the whole experience! ... show more

  • Almost perfect but not quite
Love this pole. A good width (not too wide for small hands), and I love the stationary and spinning options. Pole was easy to assemble - I didn't even need the instructions; I just watched a YouTube video. THERE IS JUST ONE PROBLEM WITH THIS POLE: There are three screw heads about 10-11 inches up from the base of the pole. Even when assembled properly, these screw heads stick out just enough to cut skin open. This pole, therefore, is not suitable for those learning basic spins - they will have to cut the move short in order to prevent their legs from scraping over the screw heads. This is a glaring omission on the part of the manufacturer and should be corrected ASAP! ... show more

  • One of the Best
this is my first ever review I LOVE LOVE MY POLE!!! In my pole dancing class x pole xpert is all we use. Simply for the fact it's real sturdy when installed properly, all you need to do is go on youtube or the xpole sight and watch the installation video. It's step by step and I was able to do it on my own just fine, but watch it a couple times before installing and really follow the steps. Some of the earlier reviews I read they complained about little things like the screws hanging out, but that something that is easily fixable if you watch the videos. :) I mean its sturdy!!, I'm overweight and it supports me just fine my friend who's over 200 lbs can get on it and hang from it and it doesn't budge one bit. From my understanding it can support up to about 300 or 400 lbs. Also it's a bottom loading pole, meaning you won't need a ladder to install it which is great. It may seem a bit pricey, but it will last you years if properly taken care of. If you're just starting off and not that invested did I would recommend buying the sport. The only difference is xpert can be placed on spinning mode. All in All a great pole to have :) I recommend that everyone give pole dancing a shot it's great :) ... show more

  • Very disappointed. Clearly the pole itself is sturdy and quality
Very disappointed. Clearly the pole itself is sturdy and quality. I waited so long to purchase just the right pole. Did my homework for months before purchasing. Got the pole ready for install in my 9 ft ceilings and it's too short. Spending this kind of money on a pole, the proper extensions should be available with the purchase. If i can't find the extension, I'll have to return. ... show more

  • Great pole - high quality, easy to assemble
My wife uses this for exercise at home. She loves it - can do anything she was doing in a dance studio, but it's obviously not quite as tall as one of those poles. This was incredibly simple to put together. I recommend watching the videos which cover every detail very clearly. Had this from bring in the box to fully assembled and in place in less than an hour by myself. Tip: Have someone help so they can hold a level, keep the pole up before it's fitted against the ceiling, etc. This pole is definitely high quality as you'd expect from the price. No noticeable manufacturing defects. All the pieces needed were included, along with any necessary extensions for various ceiling heights (had no trouble with my 9ft ceiling). I was surprised how snug the pole feels when put in place. It will not come down, that's for sure. It doesn't seem like it's going to damage the ceiling either which is a plus since we rent. Just make absolute sure you've placed it under a stud or you will eventually bust through the ceiling. Would buy this again if I had to over the cheaper $100-$150 poles. Definitely read through the reviews on them - plenty of reasons to go with the Xpert, like not cutting yourself on exposed rough metal on the pole. This one is smooth up and down with no risk of injury (other than falling off). ... show more

  • How well does a warped Xpert spin?
Not very well at all as it turns out. My studio uses this brand, which is why I ordered one. I ordered it new from "Xpole" (really Microfiber selling under Xpole's name) on Amazon. I had to make a 30 minute drive to the UPS store to pick it up because they will not leave it at your door. Hm. So I go through the trouble of assembling it and the thing doesn't spin. I take it apart and the top pole is badly warped...brand new and right out of the box, and it's bent!! I'm pretty sure that paying $400 for a pole should preclude these kinds of problems. If you want to pay $400 for a bent spinny pole that doesn't spin, this a fantastic product. It took 3 weeks for Xpole to send a replacement part and it actually spins now. However, I think I would been better off getting a Lil Minx spinny pole, it would have been $100 cheaper, there would be a lot less splippage across the ceiling than the Xpole, it wouldn't have the rough Xpole joints that tear skin, and it is MUCH easier to change the modes from stationary to spinny (just pulling out a pin versus the Xpole, where you have to use the key to undo the screws at the base.). ... show more
