  • [39-Pound Solid Build with 5 Rows of Copper Tubing] The Gasbye DryPrime dehumidifier pulls up to 75 pints/day at 86F, 80% RH, 50 pints/day at 80F, 60% RH, and 36.5 pints/day at 65F, 60% RH. Since we dont inflate the pints/day performance figures, what you see is what you get. Dimensions: 14.7"D x 9.5"W x 19.6"H, which may be larger compared to some other "mini" models with inflated pints/day ratings
  • [Energy Star 2026 Certified for High Efficiency] Gasbye DryPrime dehumidifiers deliver up to 30% more energy efficiency compared to non-Energy Star models. Perfect for large spaces like basements, garages, and living rooms, all while keeping energy costs low. Energy Star Unique ID: 4005672
  • [Smart Humidity Control Auto Shut-Off & Restart] The compressor of the unit automatically shuts off when the humidity drops 2% below your set target, and restarts when it rises 5% above. After the compressor shuts down, the fan runs briefly to take advantage of residual coil cooling for continued dehumidification and improved energy efficiency. The unit also automatically resumes its previous settings after a power outage
  • [43dB Queit Compressor] The DryPrime dehumidifier operates at around 43dB and is relatively quiet, making it ideal for medium to large spaces like basements, garages, and living rooms. In these areas, it wont disturb you while chatting with family, watching TV, or relaxing on the sofa
  • [Triple Draining Flexibility] Choose from a spacious 1.45Gal tank for manual drainage, an included 5-foot hose for direct connection to floor drains, or use your garden hose connected to the outer threaded port for extended drainage distance
  • [2-Year Quality Coverage] If your unit ever develops a quality issue, you can contact Gasbye Support directly for a FULL REFUND or FREE REPLACEMENT. Description

Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store We value transparency over exaggeration. That's why we provide lab-tested dehumidification capacities in three environments for your informed choice: ·75 pints/day at 86°F, 80% RH ·50 pints/day at 80°F, 60% RH ·36.5 pints/day at 65°F, 60% RH [2-Year Quality Coverage] If you chose our dehumidifier based on a statement in our listing and feel it doesn't meet your expectations after use, you can contact Gasbye Support for a FULL REFUN𝗗 or 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 REPLACEMENT. In addition, all replacement units we provide are BRAND NEW, not refurbished. Q1. How can I compare the true dehumidifying capacity of different dehumidifiers? A1. Check the weight! Why? A dehumidifier's performance largely depends on the amount of 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 inside. More 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 means better dehumidifying power and energy efficiency. So, how can a lightweight unit claim such high capacity? The trick is that dehumidifying capacity varies with temperature and humidity—the higher these are, the more effective the unit appears. For example, the Gasbye DryPrime-35 model, weighing 39 pounds, pulls up to 75 pints/day at 86°F, 80% RH, 50 pints/day at 80°F, 60% RH, and 36.5 pints/day at 65°F, 60% RH. Some dehumidifiers claim 52 pints/day at 86°F, 80% RH but weigh just 34 pounds. Others even claim 100 pints/day at an extreme 95°F, 90% RH yet weigh only 30.9 pounds. You'll find that these lightweight models highlight their performance in high-temperature, high-humidity conditions to show inflated numbers. If you compare the dehumidifying capacity under the same temperature and humidity conditions, I’m confident you’ll see that Gasbye dehumidifiers offer great value for the price. We don’t mislead customers by labeling a mini-sized unit as a 100 pint/day dehumidifier (measured at 95°F, 90% RH) and then charging you over $200 for it. Q2. Does the warm air from a dehumidifier increase AC costs in summer? Why do some dehumidifiers emit more warm air than others? A2. Dehumidifiers work similarly to air conditioners, which also emit warm air during operation. Although this warm air slightly increases the AC's cooling energy use, it reduces the AC's dehumidification burden. By letting your air conditioner (2000-3000 watts) focus on cooling rather than dehumidifying, running a dehumidifier (350 watts) will typically lower your overall energy bill. Stronger dehumidifiers emit more warm air, while weaker ones emit less. We’ve observed that some consumers are pleased when their new dehumidifier emits less warm air than their old one. However, this often simply means that the new unit has a lower dehumidifying capacity. As mentioned above, the amount of warm air emitted by the dehumidifier does not increase your electricity bill. In fact, it can actually reduce it (counterintuitive but true—you can search for more information if interested.) Q3. What's the difference between 300-500 watt compressor dehumidifiers and 60-100 watt semiconductor-based dehumidifiers? Which is more energy-efficient? A3. In terms of cooling technology, compressor dehumidifiers are 5-6 times more efficient than semiconductor-based ones. Although a semiconductor-based dehumidifier consumes only 60-100 watts and seems more energy-efficient, you would need a bunch of them to effectively dehumidify a space larger than 300 sq ft. In contrast, a single 300-500 watt compressor dehumidifier can quickly reduce the humidity in a large room. Q4. What environments are compressor-based dehumidifiers suitable for? A4. The Gasbye DryPrime-35 is a compressor-based dehumidifier with an internal compressor that causes vibrations and noise. It operates at around 43dB and is relatively quiet, making it ideal for medium to large spaces like basements, garages, and spacious living rooms. In these areas, it won’t disturb you while working or watching TV. However, it’s not recommended for use in small spaces like bedrooms. Q5. Why do dehumidifiers on the market seem less durable, often breaking down after just a year of use? A5. The most expensive component in a dehumidifier is the copper tubing. To cut costs, many brands make the tubes thinner, but thin copper is more likely to crack under the compressor’s constant vibration, leading to refrigerant leaks and failure. While it’s hard to see tubing thickness directly, weight is a good clue — heavier units usually mean sturdier materials. Our Gasbye DryPrime-35 weighs 39 lbs, a sign that we don’t cut corners. As a small brand, we focus on quality and fast support rather than big marketing budgets. You can see from customer comments that our U.S. support team typically replies within 8 hours.

  • Definitely worth the money.
Size: 4,500Sq.Ft.
So far I am extremely pleased. This is solidly built and professional looking. The instructions for set up were clear. Easy to set up for various function preferences. I set mine for a certain humidity and the auto function does the rest. I have a drain close to the unit so I cut the hose to the necessary length to drain continuously. It's heavy so not something to move around easily. Mine is in the basement and it's not coming up until I move or it dies. My previous dehumidifier was cheaper but was loud ( this one is quiet), not sturdy and died after one season. It's hose was very thin and yet stiff. It kept coming off the unit. ... show more

  • Suck it up!
Size: 4,500Sq.Ft.
I’m amazed at the level of humidity in our home. It was easy to setup and took less than 24 hours to fill up the bucket. Draining it is simple and so far it seems to be working pretty well.

  • A Good Choice
Size: 4,500Sq.Ft.
This unit is very well made and it's quiet. I ordered this and another smaller dehumidifier, and by comparison, this one produces about twice the amount of water. Looks like it will use a fair amount of electricity, but we'll just be running it during the humid season.

  • Works great!
Size: 4,500Sq.Ft.
I just started using my dehumidifier today and within a few hours, it's already collected a huge amount of water in the tank and lowered my room humidity. I'm thoroughly impressed and would recommend this product.

  • Works great for my large basement.
I have a large basement and live in a very humid area. This does a great job of dehumidifying. I have it hooked up to a pump to get rid of the water. It has been working well and without any issues for a few months now. It’s not loud like my ancient dehumidifier.

  • Outstanding 5 Year Warranty -- The most important thing when buying a consumer grade dehumidifier
If you walk away with anything from this review, it should be that the warranty is what matters most. I have gone through a half dozen dehumidifiers over the years. Most of them fail within the first 3 years. The reason? Refrigerant leakage. A majority of consumer dehumidifiers run with a compressor (similar to your refrigerator). That means pretty much all dehumidifiers will have similar functionality. I have come to the conclusion that even if you get the "best" brand it is luck of the draw. You can read the product page on this one to find out what it offers. ----------------- Warranty (5/5) ----------------- Gasbye provides a 2 year comprehensive and 5 years on the refrigerant system. Honeywell is one other that I believe offers a competitive warranty. I can verify that Gasbye stands by their warranty. My unit started to fail after 8 months and it started showing error E3. Gasbye had a replacement in my hands within the week. From the Manufacturer: - Extended 2-Year Warranty Coverage: This warranty fully covers any quality-related issues, ensuring your dehumidifier operates flawlessly and meets your high standards - 5-Year Special Guarantee: In the rare event of refrigerant leakage (signaled by an "E3" error) or severe icing on the unit’s back, rest assured you're protected. This guarantee reflects our confidence in our product’s longevity and your satisfaction. A warranty is only as good as the company that provides it. I have never heard of Gasbye so I contacted them asking who they are. Here is their response: "Gasbye is our factory's direct sales brand, established as part of a joint venture between TCL and De'Longhi in July 2005. While Gasbye might not have been directly visible in the US market, our factory has been the backbone behind many well-known dehumidifier brands you might recognize, producing high-quality units that are then sold under various famous American brand names. Our direct involvement in manufacturing allows us to offer substantial warranties, reflecting our confidence in the quality and reliability of our products. This direct-to-consumer model enables us to provide exceptional value and service directly to you." That response gives me confidence that they aren't going to disappear overnight. ----------------- Quality (5/5) ----------------- The included manual/documentation is well written and not the typical broken English you see with a lot of imported products. The dehumidifier is heavy and has labels all over explaining how to use it. Everything about this dehumidifier presents itself as high quality. I really appreciate the included handle on the top. This is much easier for moving it around rather than lifting it from the sides (like all of others I have used). ----------------- Performance (5/5) ----------------- This unit performance satisfactory. One thing that I really pay attention to is the built-in hygrometer. If it doesn't read the moisture properly, then what good is the dehumidifier? Other cheaper dehumidifiers will rapidly fluctuate the humidity reading when the fan is on. That causes all sorts of problems. This dehumidifier did not exhibit that issue. The humidity reading appears unaffected by the fan, and maintains/reads the actual humidity +/- 5% from my tests (which aligns with their specifications). The humidity control setpoint is +/- 3%. That means if you set it to 50% it will maintain humidity between 47% and 53%. This is important since it keeps the unit from short cycling which will damage the compressor over time. There is also a built-in 3 minute start/stop delay that adds further protection. ----------------- Overall (5/5) ----------------- This is an excellent choice as a dehumidifier for your home. The exceptional 5 year warranty makes this a clear winner. Don't make a mistake and get one with a lesser warranty. You'll be back here in a couple years shaking your head. ... show more

  • Love this thing!
I live in a largish condo in Florida. When they say "It's not the heat; it's the humidity!" this is the place they're talking about. While my AC runs pretty constant, it's still difficult to keep my humidity under 60% and I have a few art/craft hobbies that work best in low humidity, plus, I find pulling humidity out of the air has the effect of making it seem cooler without needing to keep the AC quite as low. For years now, I've just used the smaller kind that rely on peltier technology with a fan and come with modest tanks and run non-stop until either the tank fills or you turn them off. I've had four of those spread around between various rooms and what I've found is that while they work well and fine, the average lifespan of them for me is about a year and a half. I had one make it to two years once but that's about the longest. At $30-$60 each, I'd just come to expect that's about the best I can expect since I run them pretty much constantly. Even with running them non-stop, though, it would usually take days for them to fill up, each with about 32 ounces of storage container. Enter this monster. Unlike those, this works with a gas and as far as I can tell, operates more like an AC or fridge in terms of how it pulls moisture and let me tell you, this single unit easily replaces all the little ones and then some! At the "comfortable" setting, I'm pulling a little more than a gallon a day from my space and while this wouldn't be big enough for a whole home, for my space, as long as I keep doors between rooms open, it does an excellent job of pulling moisture from everywhere. I was truly astonished at just how effective it was. Additionally, unlike the smaller ones, this detects the amount of moisture and you can set your desired level and it'll work to get to that and then shut off. It's really been a game-changer and I can't overstate how happy I am with it. It also comes with a 4 year warranty which means it should last at least twice as long as the ones I've been having to recycle. Between the tremendously better performance and expected longevity, I'm really happy with this. It's not silent but on the "comfort" setting, it will work to do the best without extra noise. I wouldn't want it next to my bed or anything but behind a couch in the living room, I've come to not notice it. I just wish I was able to use the hose option to drain it because it pulls SO much moisture out of the air but for this kind of product, that feels like the type of problem most people buying it would want to have. ... show more
