It turned out beautifully. The decorative grill in front is not metal. I would say that it is most likely fiberglass, but I can’t be certain. It comes in 1 million pieces. It took hours to put together. It is a large piece of furniture. Assemble it in its intended home. It is extremely heavy and would likely not survive a move. I will have to disassemble portions of it in order to relocate it when the time comes. Use an automatic screwdriver or drill very carefully. Don’t over tighten. I chose to leave off the back panels. Follow the directions or you will find yourself taking things apart and putting them back together. Most of the pieces are press board with laminate. It will not last forever, but the price point reflects this. It has a remote control. This could be improved upon because the remote will not work unless you were angled just so because the sensor for the remote is tucked up underneath the grill. There is some sound from the fan when the heater is on, but it is not overly loud if you are sensitive I would suggest using earplugs or maybe don’t put it in your bedroom like I did. It keeps my room toasty and it does not overheat. The heating unit will turn off when it reaches the set temperature and then turn back on when it cools You cannot adjust the temperature from the remote control. This was previously mentioned in another review. I shopped around for this particular fireplace set. There are other versions of this with the old-fashioned grill, and also exact models like this one, but at a much higher price. This was the best deal. The company called me twice after it was delivered to confirm that I received the unit.

Very good quality. Takes some time putting together but the instructions are easy to follow. Absolutely love the design. Instant Heat very solid piece of furniture. This Victorian designed piece is great in a bedroom where mine is or placed in a formal dining room or family room.

The completed fireplace is absolutely beautiful. The 4 stars is due to the incredible amount of work that you will have to put into this project … and the run to Lowe’s for additional hardware … in order to make it happen. My husband spent 11 hours on the construction with literally a 1000 pieces to put together including screws, wood pegs, etc. and he used power tools! Word of caution … do NOT bend, lose or break any of the hardware! There’s only the exact number of each piece in the box! Also grab your wood glue and ensure you glue as much of the side shelves as you can because they will crumble and break as soon as you try to move them into place to connect to the main fireplace section. This is what instigated the Lowe’s run for extra screws and L-brackets to hold the shelves in place on the side panel. All pieces were great quality except the back panels of each of the side shelves. These are flimsy white cardboard. I’m not sure if I’ll keep them on there. They somewhat detract from the overall aesthetic of the fireplace. As far as the overall look it is gorgeous! The filigree and faux wood carvings around the fireplace section are really very ornate and well made. The only things I don’t like, and would have changed, are the back cardboard panels and the seam that runs across the front of the fireplace section. It would have made a huge difference if this was all one piece aesthetically. It does look amazing when it’s turned on especially at night! I love that you can run the fire without the heater and get the romantic energy even in July! The heater runs well and definitely makes the bedroom feel cozy!

This fireplace is exactly what I wanted. It arrived when expected with everything perfectly protected. Assembly took a little while, but all pieces were marked and after sorting them out and laying everything out, following the directions in the instruction manual was very simple and clear cut for myself, my daughter and my 16 year old granddaughter to put together. My granddaughter is legally blind, and through touch and verbal instruction, she contributed about 1/3 of the labor. It’s a beautiful, functional piece of furniture that definitely qualifies as the focal point of the room, which is a master bedroom converted into a cozy sitting room. It’s very sturdy, and keeps the room nice and toasty, giving off a comforting glow from the flickering “flame”. Absolutely no buyers remorse here; 100% satisfaction.

We love this fireplace so much. We haven’t used the heat yet because it’s warm still, but we do turn on the flames at night and it’s so cozy looking. It took about 8 hours to put together (by a very experienced builder) but totally worth it. It’s sturdy and a lovely piece of furniture. The comments we’ve gotten from friends and family have all been extremely positive.

Such a lovely fireplace that I've been dreaming of! Definitely give yourself a few hours to assemble it. It looks like a lot but its super easy! Just so. Many. Screws. I also switched a few steps at the end. I put the frame on the base then the top piece then the brown mantle part. The instructions wanted you to put the top piece and mantle together before putting it on the frame but that would've been to heavy since I assembled it alone! I'll probably be using this more for the flame effect which is nice and realistic looking although kinda wish they were a lil taller. I tested the heat only for a quick moment and the fan sounded a bit loud to me. I'll definitely be enjoying the cozy vibes it brings to my room 😌

The quality is over than I expected. It’s very heavy and the mirror/fire looks great. It took two hours from opening the box, to clean up, for me to assemble it by myself. It is heavy so it is better for two people. It is very quiet, the remote works from far away. The color matches Sherman Williams Ultra Pure White, so it matches my trim nicely. Great buy.
