This is a very nice fireplace. It is very elegant looking. It looks like it costs a lot more that it does. It is very beautiful. I always receive compliments on it. It is very heavy, and very well made. The heat works very well and you can also use the flame without the heat. The heat has 3 settings and the flame is also adjustable. The heat does have some noise when it is on, sounds like a fan running. It is not too difficult to put together, but it helps to have someone help you, especially since it is so heavy. It is very well worth the price and will bring you a lot of enjoyment.

Assembly required but worth it.

It turned out beautifully. The decorative grill in front is not metal. I would say that it is most likely fiberglass, but I can’t be certain. It comes in 1 million pieces. It took hours to put together. It is a large piece of furniture. Assemble it in its intended home. It is extremely heavy and would likely not survive a move. I will have to disassemble portions of it in order to relocate it when the time comes. Use an automatic screwdriver or drill very carefully. Don’t over tighten. I chose to leave off the back panels. Follow the directions or you will find yourself taking things apart and putting them back together. Most of the pieces are press board with laminate. It will not last forever, but the price point reflects this. It has a remote control. This could be improved upon because the remote will not work unless you were angled just so because the sensor for the remote is tucked up underneath the grill. There is some sound from the fan when the heater is on, but it is not overly loud if you are sensitive I would suggest using earplugs or maybe don’t put it in your bedroom like I did. It keeps my room toasty and it does not overheat. The heating unit will turn off when it reaches the set temperature and then turn back on when it cools You cannot adjust the temperature from the remote control. This was previously mentioned in another review. I shopped around for this particular fireplace set. There are other versions of this with the old-fashioned grill, and also exact models like this one, but at a much higher price. This was the best deal. The company called me twice after it was delivered to confirm that I received the unit.

Wow it’s tall and beautiful!! I ordered one with the shelves and 46 inch. I love them so I ordered this one for my bedroom and it didn’t disappoint. The directions were easy to follow, everything labeled, it came well packaged. It only took about a hour to put together wasn’t hard at all. The flames and heat look realistic. Remote control came with it easy to use I would buy this again for sure well worth it

A great addition in our new home!

Be prepared for a minimum of 6-8 hours assembly time. Add 24 hrs if you end up gluing the shelving into place like I did (glue dry time). I used clear gorilla glue and glued & clamped the shelves to their side panels (not to the fireplace panels). *Make sure that you have a cordless screwdriver to put this together. There are over 150 screws plus 148 screw cams plus 148 screw cam bolts to install!! Be CAREFUL when installing the screw cam bolts - do not over tighten as they well pull out of the particle board! When tightening the screw cams onto the screw cam bolts - I suggest doing them by hand so that you do not over tighten them and pull the whole assembly out and bend the cam bolts! *Do NOT remove the numbers from the boards as you put it together! The directions will reference them later on after you put different assemblies together. I learned this the hard way - especially on the two side bases that go under the shelving pieces. There is a right side and a left side and the numbers correspond to right and left but the directions do not mention left and right. The quality of this fireplace shelving unit is outstanding. I wish that the directions were clearer as to right side and left sides of different assemblies, but if you pay very close attention to the directions and do not remove the numbers from the boards as you go - you will be fine. There is a discrepancy in the directions for installing the fireplace and birdcage front. The directions that are in the box for the fireplace unit and birdcage reference using (5) hex screws and (5) washers and a hex wrench. None of these are included with the fireplace unit. Rather - there are (5) part J screws that came with the shelving unit. They are black and are M6x30MM. My pictures will give you a better understanding. After I was done putting the last screw in - I stood back and was amazed at the beauty of this unit. My wife was doubly surprised! The remote - read the directions that came with the fireplace unit as to how to program the default temp. You can NOT adjust the temp with the up down buttons on the remote! You can change it to what temp you would like by programming the remote. The heat output and fan output are terrific. I set it for 72 deg f. You can change the brightness of the flame as well. I will say that I had to be about feet away from the fireplace for the remote to work. You will want to be sitting down when you are programming the remote - so that you can see the temp display on the fireplace. You can NOT see it from a standing position. This unit is long at 78" but it fit perfectly on our living room wall. I am so happy with our purchase. I would have giving it 5 stars, but I had to do some gluing and clamping.

We absolutely love this fireplace! My husband assembled it entirely by himself. Since all of the pieces came separate, it did take most of the day to put together, but the process was very straightforward—almost like an adult LEGO set. It is honestly so beautiful, and the heat works great. We especially love turning on the flame feature. There is a slight ticking noise, but it isn’t bad at all and seems normal for electric heaters. We previously had one from Walmart that was much louder, so this is hardly noticeable in comparison. We purchased the large mantel, and it is the perfect size for our home. It fits the wall beautifully and is easy to move around if needed. This has easily been one of the best purchases we’ve made for our house—it really ties everything together decor-wise. I would highly recommend this fireplace if you don’t want one of the typical 3-foot-high options and are looking to add character and warmth to your home.

It does take a while to assemble, but is so worth it. We got our boxes a few days apart because it comes in 2 separate boxes. But, the seller had sent me an email stating that this might be the case.

Beautiful focal point of the room

This fireplace is exactly what I wanted. It arrived when expected with everything perfectly protected. Assembly took a little while, but all pieces were marked and after sorting them out and laying everything out, following the directions in the instruction manual was very simple and clear cut for myself, my daughter and my 16 year old granddaughter to put together. My granddaughter is legally blind, and through touch and verbal instruction, she contributed about 1/3 of the labor. It’s a beautiful, functional piece of furniture that definitely qualifies as the focal point of the room, which is a master bedroom converted into a cozy sitting room. It’s very sturdy, and keeps the room nice and toasty, giving off a comforting glow from the flickering “flame”. Absolutely no buyers remorse here; 100% satisfaction.

Insert seems faulty

Insert has issues. Mine specifically seems defective. I purchased it in December and as of April the fire settings are not working properly. In the beginning of April it was only if you had it on the brightest setting it would start blinking off and on like a seizure inducing stobe light. I figured that was ok, I would use the medium brightness setting, now as of May only the lowest brightness setting is still working. The fireplace frame itself looks nice, but the "paint" is like a thin paper with a thin plastic coating. I accidentally scraped it and it came off like a weird cheap wallpaper. Even with the white coating being odd it's still nice. It's a decent peice of furniture, but I just wish the insert was better quality and I could use it like I should be able to, what's the point of a fireplace without the "fire"?
