This is a beautiful, easy to assemble and install ceiling light. It has different light rings with LEDs on the outside with diameters 10, 12.5, and 15.25 inch. The assembled total maximum span is 44 inches. The assembly itself is very easy and just in case a few extra parts are included. Just FYI, the 14 mm wrench that is needed for the nuts is not included, though. I really liked the light levels and tones that can easily be set with the remove control. Just FYI, the remote control is a bit of an overkill. There are two sets of LED, bright and warm and so the brightness and tone comes from those. On the remote there are also RBG selections and channels but they are not actually useful. On the picture, the only thing needed is the on/off, brightness and tone. But it works beautifully. In addition to the ease of assembly and installation, I also like the overall amount of light it gives off. And with the selection of tone, one can go from studying under bright white light to a romantic evening under dim warm lights. So, I can highly recommend this for anyone in the market to really but some stylish lights into the living or dining room. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I'm going to start off by saying that the instructions are not the best. Installation: For the installation, you should insert the threaded pipes into each of the rings first. That will make it easier to then fit into the main ring. Note that there are three sizes of rings and the spacing of the holes are different based on the size and each ring will only fit in their designated positions. You'll need a 14mm wrench along with a screwdriver, and two AAA batteires. The included wires are a brownish wire and a blue wire. The blue wire (according the instructions) is the neutral wire and using standard US color codes, should be connected to the white power cable. The brownish (or red according to the manual) is the Line wire and should be connected to the black power cable. The included ground cable is a bit short so I had to add an additional wire to lengthen it. I didn't like the quick-connect connector that came with it as it didn't feel like a secure connection, and it was too small for my wires. I used my own to connect the wires. Overall, assembly was easy but when it came time to mount it to the ceiling, that was quite a challenge to do by myself. What I ended up doing is using some twist-wire to temporarily hold the fixture in place while I got the wires connected. That's when I discovered that the included bracket is a bit flimsy and started to bend. I was able to get the 4 screws into the brackets by holding up the light fixture and trying to align the holes. Not an easy feat, especially with a 10 foot ceiling. That's part of the reason why I'm not giving this 5 stars. In addition, the flimsy bracket makes it unworthy of 5 stars. Usage: Now for the actual lighting experience after the install. When I first turned these lights on, I was blown away by how bright these are. Much brighter than the 3 small LED bulbs I was using in the old chandelier the previous owner of this house left behind. Actually, it was a bit too bright for me. Fortunately, this light is dimmable so I did turn it down and set it to a warmer color temperature. One thing that did impress me is that these lights don't flicker. I even tested this out using the super-slow motion capture from my phone and there was no flickering detected there either. Many other cheaper LED lights flicker either due to cheap rectification or the use of PWM for dimming. Looks like these lights use a switching power supply that changes the voltage output (I did not confirm this, just assuming that based on the behavior of the lights). To summarize, PROS: - Easy to assemble - Adjustable color temperature - Adjustable brightness - No flickering - Previous settings are saved when turning lights off and back on (even when using a wall switch) - Can be very bright CONS: - Poor installation instructions - Difficult to install with one person - Flimsy bracket - Rings tend to sag a bit due to the way they are mounted - Quick-connect connector cannot fit thick gauge wiring - Included ground cable a bit short - Included remote has more buttons than it needs (like RGB buttons that don't do anything, and Channel 1-4 on/off buttons that just turn the lights on or off) and also does not include AAA batteries. My suggestion to the company would be to make a mounting bracket that would allow twisting the light fixture into it and then securing it withe screws, similar to the way some ceiling fan shrouds are installed. Also, including some type of strings or ropes that would support it during installation would be a big plus. WIFE UPDATE: After I had it installed, my wife commented that the light feels like something you'd have in a corporate office or doctor's office. The wide light source creates an environment with very few shadows, and the shadows are smooth instead of sharp like you would have with a single small light source. The particular room we have this light in has light beige walls and not a lot of decorations so the light does highlight how bare the area is. I still think it's a great light but of course that can be subjective. ... show more

My ceilings are high, so pre-assembly would have been great.. but it was a bit harder. Would be perfect for a normal ceiling. But it's AMAZING once it's done!
