I have been engaged in embroidery for many years and have produced many works. Before this, I had never encountered such poor-quality threads. These threads tend to tangle and form knots. I simply can't untangle the thread ends. The quality of these threads is too bad. They knot up every few stitches and it's extremely troublesome. I don't want to include them as part of my embroidery works. And it was supposed to come with the needles and they were not included.I will never purchase products from this brand again.

Overall, this is a great set and an incredible deal for avid cross-stitchers or hand-embroiderers. This thing comes in a giant brick, like an illicit substance (haha)! I don't think I realized how big a package this was going to be. It also comes in separate sub-packs so you don't just dump out 400+ loose thread skeins all over your floor, but I honestly couldn't understand the grouping scheme, if there is any. It's not like it comes grouped by color. Not a big deal, I will reorganize them anyway. The thread itself is pretty good, but definitely not up to the quality of DMC thread itself, which I think is not fair to expect for this price. The threads themselves are a bit more fuzzy and less smooth than DMC, which could affect your final product, so that's why it's losing one star from me. However, I can't anticipate needing to buy embroidery floss any time soon! Now, I just have to figure out the best way to store these....

This is a FANTASTIC deal on bulk embroidery floss! When I received this order I meticulously went through all the colors and listed them out to check against the current DMC color list. I did indeed receive 447 colors with this order and an additional 5 extra, unmarked black and white skeins of floss and a pack of hand needles. When compared to the DMC color list, every color was included in this set except 504, 731, 776, 782, 806, 868, 971, and 3773. This listing does say it is a "complete" set, which isn't correct as it is missing 8 of the DMC colors, but this is still one of the biggest and most complete sets I've come across. The skeins look to be the same size as regular name brand skeins, though the packaging does not state a length. It does say it is washable, though, which is good. I haven't yet tested the color fastness of these, but I'd always recommend prewashing them by hand before embroidering if you plan to use it on apparel. The labels don't have a brand, but say "For Tyche Special" and have washing symbols, the color ID number, and a barcode. The labels aren't attached to the floss very cleanly. There's a big of extra glue on the majority of them that can catch bits of the floss. It's pretty easy to pull the threads away from the glue without fraying or leaving residue, but it's still annoying and makes the skeins stick together. At the current list price I think it's an amazing deal and a great way to instantly have a full collection of floss, letting you do almost any embroidery pattern you could find. I'm really happy with my order and the mind boggling amount of floss I received. I'm glad I have so much floss, it limits my trips to the craft store for new projects. I definitely recommend this set!

This product is completely useless to me because the numbers on the embroidery thread are seriously inconsistent with the DMC standard. The color deviation is too large and the color is not bright enough. I ordered this product for cross-stitching, but it has no value for me at all. There is simply no alternative. I have bought some other brands before, and this one is the worst.
