To start with, I have been playing guitar for over 50 years. I have a lot of guitars and most of them expensive. I just gave my son my, all-around-camping guitar and I was looking to replace it. I was looking for a cheap guitar that I could just throw it in my truck, boat, or RV and not care if I damaged it or lost it. This one surprised me. So right out of the box, it looked good. Fit and finish were excellent with no flaws in the wood at all. The back, sides, soundboard, headstock, and fingerboard were perfect. The poly coating of the guitar was also perfect with almost no globs , runs, or cloudiness. The tuners, nut, saddle, and knobs were cheap, but very functional. You can tell the inlays and such are actually just stickers, but you really have to look hard to tell. When I tuned it, the action was excellent as was the intonation. This is a very playable guitar right our of the box. Normally, when I get a cheap guitar it takes me an hour of more to do a full setup. I did not have to do that this time. The bag and accessories are nice and they do the job they are meant for. The tuner is simple but works great. The capo is a different style then I am used too, but still works well. The picks are basic as it the strap. It comes with 2 pick guiards and this is the only place they fall short. They don't fit properly. I am not gooing to use them anyway, but be aware you may have to trim them before you install one of them. As to the sound, it is very nice for this level of guitar. You don't have all the deep overtones you get with the higher end guitars, but it still produces some very nice sounds. It maintains it tune day to day and that is a good sign. It takes alternate tuning like a champ and has solid tone up and down the fretboard. Here is what I am going to change to make it even better. I am goiong to change the nut, saddle, and end pins with the TUSQ man made ivory. These will held bring out the tones and make the guitar sound better. Next I am going to change the tuners. They area a little sticky to turn and could be a bit smoother. Then I will be replacing the strings with a set better suited to my style. After, that I am done and it will sound and play like many of my high end guitars. Overall, this is one of the best low end guitars I have got. It plays great, looks beautiful, and sounds wonderful. I can highly recommend it for both the new player as well as someone like me, that needs a go anywhere guitar. I am actually a little concerned with using this as my anything guitar because I don't want to damage it. it is really beautiful.

This guitar was very nice BUT it didn't include the accessories listed on the ad. It didn't come with the capo or the extra strings, etc. it arrived as a guitar with a strap and case only.

I have been playing guitar for many years, and have been working on and repairing guitars for many years as well. This guitar is aimed at beginners, and although it fills many of the boxes, some of the most important ones fall short. The setup on this guitar was pretty poor, and for a beginner this can be very off-putting and can zap motivation. The action is 8/6ths of an inch on the low E, and 6/6ths on the high E. I consider this a very high action. This is roughly 2/64ths higher than a typical setup, and although this is not a large measurement, the difference in feel and comfort is huge. This guitar will require a full setup, and would be nearly impossible for a beginner to figure out without a large amount of learning, research and expensive tools. The included accessories are fairly good quality, and the gig bag is decent enough to protect the guitar for short trips. The included sanding sponges are somewhat of a bittersweet subject for me, as they are providing a solution for the possible fret sprout that overseas guitars are known for, but this also seems like a shortcut to me in terms of the quality control at the factory. The guitar is somewhat well made for the cost, and the materials used are of good quality. I would caution against this guitar unless you are 100% willing to spend the sometimes large cost of a good setup, and are not expecting a perfect guitar for this price. Overall, the guitar is well made in the basic sense of it, but the setup is extremely rushed and poor, due to cost reasons, which can add up in cost quickly to the buyer, but also really make or break the function and feel of a guitar.

very comprehensive starter guitar for a beginner. really does come with everything you need, and thankfully, even the instructions explain how to adjust some rather important things and comes with the tools to do so. In my case, the 3rd fret was BUZZING so bad. thankfully you can adjust the neck tension which will raise the fret up a little bit to prevent that buzz with an included alan key and a handy hidden little alan screw inside the guitar right underneath the strings. i recommend loosening the few center strings up a bit because you will have to bend them to clear the included key in there and get some turns on it, but once you do it in whatever direction your particular guitar may need, the buzzing will go away with enough turns. got it all tuned up and ready to go now, no issues at all with performance after that. so that's as far as it plays. HOWEVER, there are quite a few imperfections on the guitar itself, mainly the paint used on it. there are quite a few chips around the guitars hole itself, which do not look too pretty. i'll only be knocking off a star for that and the needed adjustment, but again if you know what you're doing and what to look out for, which this review is meant to emphasize before you think about purchasing, you'll be fine especially if you're just starting out and need something to practice on. also a nice little added bonus, there are indeed two sets of strings, one already on the guitar itself and one extra set included inside, just in case. nice little touch. the strings included on the guitar after a bit of stretching also hold their tuning pretty well for a cheap set. big ups for that.
