I ordered these speakers and had them professionally installed by a local shop, 2 months later after riding temporarily in a rain storm, at which time I covered the speakers with my lid covers and and turned off my rear amp. After returning from my trip, while cleaning the bike I noticed the high frequencies of the speakers were gone. I took bike back to shop and the worker showed me where a capacitor came off of each of the 4 speakers. Upon contacting the seller he tells me that an ULTRA MARINE CERTIFIED SPEAKER SPEAKER Isn’t meant to be wet for “a certain period of time”. They were only rained on for 5-7 minutes at which time my group got under an underpass and geared up in rain suits and i covered the speaker lids with the waterproof nylon lid covers. While they sounded amazing at first, the sole purpose of getting these speakers were due to the fact that they are ULTRA MARINE CERTIFIED as they are used on my bike. Still trying to get seller to understand that this is highly abnormal and a two month life span for a fairly expensive set of speakers is highly suspect. They were lightly powered by a 4 channel powerbass am which is only providing 80 rms 160 peak (if even). All professionally installed and tuned with a dsp. All at the expense of not blowing the speakers, only for the capacitors to fall or break off. Will update and change review upon further contact with seller ... show more

Sent them back un-opened. Had two that did not live up to the stated description on every site. These speakers are no way close to what is said about them when it comes to watts peak and RMS. The support for Polk is like dealing with and insurance company when they finely acknowledge your contact. JBL, Alpine, and even Pioneer are up front about their product. Both sets failed on their first outing. Installed in a non-show, non-competition motorcycle. My wife was listening to some songs at normal driving volume and the first set failed.
