Very functional for a small space. There are a few steps in the instructions that aren't super clear but it's possible to figure out with a little brain power. The materials meet my expectations for the price range.

Love this catio. My nephew put it together for me in about 2 hours (using an electric drill - highly recommended, he said, after trying it by hand). My cats love it and have already begun enjoying being outside so they can look around. My only complaint about this product is that I wish they had made the full-open doors on one side instead of on the tallest side where the cat doors are. When putting the cage to the window/tunnel you want to use for the cats, you lose access to the big doors. Alternatively, they could have put the cat doors on one side or the other. Other than that caveat, this is really a good product. Oh - one last thing. Since this is made of fir wood, painted or not I -highly- recomment using a clear-coat sealant to protect longer against weather damage. I sprayed-coated the entire catio twice to ensure coverage, even on the bottom. It should improve the lifetime of the catio immensely. ... show more

    • Good Catio - but not waterproofed or pest resistant.
A couple issues, it smells really chemically at first, so you have to give it a couple of days to kinda air out. We would also recommend treating the wood BEFORE assembly. It is not treated for pests or waterproofed at all. Termites and carpenter ants can be (and were) a problem, and we learned that after the fact. We would therefore highly recommend at least applying a polyurethane paint before assembling the product, and even going so far as applying a full pest prevention treatment. Its a bit of a pain to do it once it's put together, but we did manage. Otherwise the cats love it, and we like knowing they can be outside and safe. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Shady is an 18lb male that is an inside cat but loves the outside. My cat either tries to get outside often or cries that he can’t go outside. This catio fixed all my problems my cat can go outside without crying or escaping. He absolutely loves it & uses it daily. He doesn’t cry that he’s in there either. It has wheels so you can move it outside or wherever you desire. If your cat is a little chunkier than 20lbs id suggest reinforcing the wood with more support beams. Also, people complain about not having predrilled holes it’s only 4 of them that aren’t predrilled & honestly I think it’s better they didn’t. It wasn’t bad at all it was easy but did take about 30mins to an hour to set up but worth it in the end. ... show more

    • Great to convert into a reptile enclosure
My snakes were getting fat and bored, so I converted this into a large play area for them. I added aspen bedding, a couple pools, hides and a bunch of perching areas. I also put acrylic sheets on the inside walls so the metal grates wouldn’t hurt their snoots. Obviously you can’t put heating elements in this, but I live in Florida, so I just roll it up to the sliding glass door or out on my patio. ... show more
