These brackets are heavy—genuinely heavy—and that is because they are made of 11-gauge formed alloy steel, not 16-gauge or thinner material that flexes under load. I lifted both brackets out of the box and immediately noticed the difference. Most brackets in this category arrive feeling light, sometimes even hollow. These do not. The 1,000 lb capacity per pair is believable based on the material thickness and weld quality. The gussets are fully welded—not spot welded, not tacked in three places—which is the difference between a bracket that holds long-term and one that separates at the joint over time. I recently received these two tier shipping container shelving brackets and am actually using them attached directly to the pylons under our raised home in a coastal area. I was actually surprised at how heavy they are. We need usable storage underneath the house, and these ended up being exactly what we were looking for. They are very sturdy and feel completely solid. What really stood out to me is the depth. At over 20 inches deep, they can handle much larger items than the typical 12 to 15 inch shelving brackets, which makes a big difference for real storage. These are designed to be mounted hanging, but in our case we are mounting them directly to our posts and they will work perfectly that way. The support arms are well designed and keep the shelves from sagging, even with heavier items. I also like that they are steel with a corrosion resistant coating, which is very important in our coastal environment. For the strength, size, and flexibility in how they can be mounted, I feel these are an excellent value and a smart solution for under house storage.

We added these to our shop container for our parts business, and they’ve already made a big difference in how organized everything feels. Right out of the box, you can tell these are built to handle real weight. The steel feels thick and sturdy, which was important for us since we’re storing heavier items. These are massively strong shelf brackets. I was surprised at the weight of the box which was around 30 pounds I am guessing. They go together easily in just a minute or so and they are also very easily adjustable. Because of their weight capacity they are suitable for a shop or any place where a lot of heavy items must be stored. My only concern was in mounting them on a good solid manner on a heavy beam. These are a good value IMHO and I can easily recommend them.

I have to tell you these things are really easy to use even if you don’t have a storage container you can hook eye bolts into your rafter, your walls, studs, or basement studs, and hook this onto the eyebolt making this a real easy sturdy installation. You throw the shelves up on the brackets in the weight of the unit keeps it pressed against the wall firmly. It’s a very easy way to get shelving the two pieces nice for shorter runs, but if you have longer walls or have more stuff to put away, you can get the four pack and that will support a decent amount of weight they’re made pretty well, the metal is pretty thick and protected from corrosion.
