These are much lighter and do not extend down as far to be visible. And they are very strong. They hold the butcher block counter very well. These brackets got the job done! I used them to hold a very heavy 5 cube Kallax unit over my workspace. I read another review that noted the slight off square. My speed square confirmed this to be true. However, the tip is towards the wall in my very "off-square" home. The important features for me are the size and ability to hold. The bracket itself is of high quality but the Included mounting hardware is terrible. It only comes with brick mounting screws. It says you can use them for drywall but they are ONLY for brick. You’ll need giant wall plugs and screws or lag bolts to mount to drywall or studs.
