  • Well made boat lines Well made boat lines
Reviewing the 4pcs boat dock lines made of nylon. These are some very nice, strong, yet soft lines that could be used for many uses. First, they do actually measure 3/8'' wide and 15' long. It's nice to get what you pay for in this ecomony. The lines have a nicely woven loop at one end. The loop is quite long so it should be able to work around a good sized dock cleat. If you are using these to tie down items in your pickup...the loop will work well to wrap an item then use the loose end to tie to the pickup bed or roof rack for cars. The rope is quite strong yet it is soft to the touch and should keep it from marring or scratching the surface of your boat, truck or car. Personally, I am using these ropes around my house mostly. It gets hot and sunny in my state so I quite often will put up tarps to keep my garden from burning or while we have a cook out in the yard. And to have a 15' quality tarp rope at my disposal keeps me from having to cut individual lengths off my 100' roll all the time. I feel that with the quality of line and the bonus of the well structured loop on one end....that these lines are a great value. In the home setting they will last for a long time and are well worth the money. Overall, this is a fine product. They are well made, strong, yet soft and flexible. I can highly recommend this set of lines for anyone in need of a good set of ropes. They would also make a great gift for campers, outdoorsmen, gardeners, rv'ers, and boaters alike. You can never have enough good quality cordage. Great item...happy customer! ... show more

  • Well-Made Dock Lines with Clean Splices → Questionable thickness Well-Made Dock Lines with Clean Splices → Questionable thickness
These dock lines are well constructed and feel durable right out of the package. The double-braided nylon has good elasticity and should handle normal docking shock loads without issue. The pre-spliced eye loops are clean, consistent, and make it quick to secure to a cleat without tying knots. The heat-sealed ends are finished properly and show attention to detail. Out of curiosity, I measured the line diameter for reference. The main running section measured around 0.30 inches. That said, the spliced eye is noticeably thicker, and measuring across that section could reasonably approach the stated 3/8 inch size. I didn’t know the listed diameter beforehand and only measured to provide helpful, real-world information for other buyers. The lines are on the heavier side and do not float, so care should be taken if they’re dropped in the water or used near a prop. Overall, these are solid, ready-to-use dock lines that feel well made and practical for everyday mooring. I’m very happy with them and think they’re worth the price. ... show more

  • Very nice 3/8 lines for smaller boats at a great price Very nice 3/8 lines for smaller boats at a great price
Review of: YINGKESI ”4 PCS 3/8 in × 15 FT Boat Dock Lines, Nylon Dock Line Double Braided...": (Please refer to my reviewing guidelines at the bottom of the page). We live on our 52' Trawler 100% of the time and anchor out and travel 99% of the time. We use 3/8" thick dock lines on our 13' Tender (small boat) and they were needing replacement so we ordered these when they became available. In the photo you can see this 3/8" line and I've opened it to show the spliced loop and end whippings. They are done well and should hold without coming undone a good long while. This line does indeed measure 3/8" and is a very handy 15' long. The nylon material, weaving, and splicing all look to be of good quality so that these should last a few years in the marine environment. The current Amazon price of $17 is an excellent price for these lines and the lines are even very competitive at the normal $18 price. My responsibility as an Amazon Vine Reviewer: Considering the Amazon rules/regulations for being a Vine Member It is obvious that it is very important to Amazon that the person doing the review has indeed inspected, tested, used the product as well as being aware of the competitive situation of the market segment. This is so it can be fairly compared and reviewed whether good, bad, average, or anywhere in all of the grey area between. One thing that I wish were better defined by Amazon is exactly what each star should represent from 1 to 5 so that every Vine member would use the same guide in that regard. So, to let you know the guide that I use, I include it as follows: I always start off considering that average is 3 stars, and an average rating to me is: The product was correctly represented in the ad. The manufacturing quality is as expected. The product performed as intended. The product operating/user guide if needed is helpful. The product is priced accordingly. Then after inspection, measuring, testing, using, wearing, or whatever is required I add or subtract from the average as follows: Subject to additional stars: Additional product features not expected that are useful. Manufacturing quality/performance above what was stated or expected. Included guides and/or useful information that is beyond the norm. Product pricing highly competitive for a superior product. Subject to fewer stars: The product was misrepresented in the ad. Manufacturing quality/performance below what was stated or expected. No useful guide or understandable user information when required. Product pricing is on the high side considering quality, features, or the market. all the best, dr ... show more

  • Nice set of dock lines at a reasonable price! Nice set of dock lines at a reasonable price!
I needed new dock lines, and these came up as a pretty cost-effective option. They're ~15 feet long with a spliced loop that's about 12 inches long when stretched out. These lines are supple and appear to be pretty solid quality. The tag end is stitched, which should prevent fraying. We'll see how well they hold up to UV over the next season, but I'm looking forward to using some nice new lines! ... show more

  • More uses than for just boat lines More uses than for just boat lines
We don't own a boat but these Dock Lines have unlimited uses around the farm. The covering is tightly braided with no splices except when it loops back on itself to create a large loop. The loop is aprox. 12" in length and where is it braided back onto itself is sufficiently long enough to ensure it won't pull apart. The core is thick with sufficient flexibility for tying off. There is one raw end which is nicely finished off with the core being melted and the covering having a wrap of tape to keep it from fraying. The lines are 10' in length which is long enough for most of our uses around the farm. I'll use two of these to replace cross ties that have gotten old. While these are not as heavy as the old cross ties they actually feel sturdier. The color is consistent throughout, being a deep rich black, unlikely to fade from weather or sun. While I can't speak to the longevity of these lines past experience leads me to believe these will last for a long time. All in all, no matter what you use these lines for you'll be getting a good deal. ... show more

  • Great dock lines that are perfect for any boat
These are great quality dock lines that look great compared to my old dingy white ones they replaced. They are the perfect thickness for tying up our boat and feeling sturdy without being cumbersome. The length is perfect though we often have left over line on the dock side which is no big deal. Overall these are a great value for the money and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again. ... show more
