I would have given 5 stars but, I purchased these to use on the fridge and both freezers to try and keep my artistic son out of them. He is 8 and the freezer ones are holding up well but the one on the fridge pulled free after a week. We replaced the tape with gorilla tape in hopes it would hold better and it has a bit but he is still able to break it free after about a week or so. They lock very well and if your using these for toddlers they will probably work great. It’s just the bigger (stronger) guys that can easily pull them off. ... show more

I use these for work. I found out that certain people at my job were rummaging through my things and some even taking them. Since I cannot really get anyone of importance to help me I decided to take matters into my own hands. My 3 year old has autism and is always in the fridge trying to get the eggs and throw them out people. This is definitely to keep him out and he is very smart so I have to keep the key very high but I'm sure he'll find the way pretty soon

My granddaughter was able to unlock this with a pair of nailclippers, she used the file. So we had to use the top slide locks that go on the bifold doors and take the handle out. I needed real locks with keys that only the keys would work.

Cable and plastic and adhesive you do the math here. this device is to restrict access and should work well all locks are identically keyed. so do not misplace or allow it to be stolen. This should prevent access to my refrigerator. I would not expect it to completely be secure. I would not recommend adhesion to wood substrate. adhesion to the orange peeled black unit more challenging even after thorough cleaning. ... show more
