I did not buy these to use as throw pillow covers but to use as protectors for my feather throw pillows to not only protect the pillows and keep them clean but also to help stop some of the feathers poking through that is often an issue with feather pillows. I couldn't find just cotton throw pillow protectors only waterproof ones and in my experience waterproof protectors just don't work well on feather pillows. It tends to keep them more compressed even with leaving them unzipped a little. I got these ones because it was a pack of 4 for a very reasonable price and I wanted to place 2 on each pillow. The cotton is soft while still having a bit of a crisp cool feeling that I love in cotton and it feels durable. The zippers do go across the middle of the pillow and not at the bottom/sides. This doesn't bother me and I was aware of this when purchasing them I just wanted to point out it in case this will be a problem for you. I placed the 2 covers on the pillows in opposite directions so the zippers created a plus sign on the pillow instead of having them both on top of each other. This seemed to worked out well. They were easy to put on since the zipper goes across the entire length of the case. The zipper pulls are metal and feel durable and the they zip and unzip very smoothly. They are also hidden behind a flap of fabric. I washed them before use and even though the washing instructions state to wash them in cold water and hang to dry I took a chance and washed them in hot water and dried them in the dryer on medium heat. I use them on my bed and I wash all of my bedding except my waterproof mattress protector in hot water. It doesn't seem like they shrank at all as they fit perfectly on my fluffy feather throw pillows. The pillows are 18x18 and I bought 18x18. So I will continue to wash and dry them in this way. The cases did come out of the dryer quite wrinkly even though I stopped the dryer just before the cycle ended and took them out immediately and laid them flat. So they were never bunched up in a laundry basket. The pictures with the AW (after wash) in blue letters are showing you how they looked when they came out of the dryer. I folded them up and let them sit overnight and then put them on the pillows. As you can see from the photos they don't look that bad since they fit the pillows so good it helps to hide some of the wrinkles. Although if I were using them as just regular covers I would probably iron or steam them but just be mindful of the nylon zippers as they may melt. They were pretty wrinkled when they came out of the washer so I don't think hanging them to dry would have made much of a difference. Overall I think these are nice throw pillow covers and I will probably buy more in the future. So I would definitely recommend them for either regular throw pillow covers or for pillow protectors as I am using them. I hope this review with all of the pictures was helpful to you in making a decision on whether or not to purchase these pillow protectors. I take reviews seriously because I rely on them so heavily when making purchasing decisions so I try to leave reviews with info I would want to know as a buyer. Thanks for reading.

I was soooo over buying fancy pillow covers that my dog would drool on or we'd spill coffee on or didn't hold up after the wash and then they'd be ruined. Never again. I just wanted simple cotton- like cheap Walmart sheets. But I needed the right color, size, amount, and closure and these are 100% what I wanted. If you're over fancy pillow covers and just need something to survive a mess but still match your room- yeah these are it. I don't have to think about them in the washer or my dog stampeding over them. Are they wrinkly, sure? But can we all comfortable nap on them and use pillows like ACTUAL pillows? Yes! If these ever wear down over time, I'm coming back for more- my couch needs them!

My wife likes to change up the look in our house pretty regularly, and she bought these covered in a couple colors to switch out with the seasons. The colors came in exactly matching the description (we have the turquoise and the red ones) they feel like a basic cotton pillowcase. They are quite sturdy and have not ripped or come apart at all. Definitely recommend if you are just looking for a nice basic cover. The only thing that might annoy some people is that there is a little tag on the outside in one corner, but I’m sure you could remove it if it bothers you.
