This fixture is easy to install. You'd think that would be a given, for most normally sized interior lights. But, some of the "offshore" fixtures I've bought come with fittings and mounting that aren't compatible with US electrical boxes. This comes with an adjustable "x" shaped bracket, which should line up with most common electric box shapes and sizes. You do have to supply your own bulbs. This uses standard base, user replaceable bulbs. So, you can pick what you like (brightness, color temperature, style/shape, smart, etc). If the bulbs go bad, you can replace them, and not have to replace the fixture due to integrated or proprietary LEDs. I used soft white dimmable edison style bulbs (similar to shown in the picture), and it looks good. The only slight drawback is that the multiple sufaces make a bit tougher to dust than a fixture with a glass globe, something like a feather duster or swiffer works, though. ... show more

The tools provided with this light for install are worthless and you should expect to use your own, but I had low expectations given the list price.
