Edited to add: the company reached out to me and replaced the bar. My son is very happy to be able to lift again. The bar is coated in plastic and it broke after a couple uses. I tried to get a replacement for the bar, but was never able to talk to a person. The only option the chat gave was to return the whole set in the original package.
