This is a good-value upgrade
Size: 7in
My first impression was that this is an impressive way to bring modern features to an older Toyota without spending a fortune on a complete audio overhaul. The 7-inch IPS touchscreen fits the older dashboards nicely, and the 1024x600 display is bright and clear enough for navigation, music controls, and the backup camera. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto are the biggest upgrades. Being able to use Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, calls, and messages wirelessly makes a 1990s or early-2000s Toyota feel considerably more current. Android 13 also gives you built-in GPS, apps, Bluetooth, FM radio, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The 2GB RAM and 32GB storage are adequate for everyday use, although this isn’t going to be as quick as the newer 4GB or 8GB Android head units. The included 170° backup camera adds a genuinely useful feature to vehicles that often never came with one. Steering-wheel-control support is another nice addition on compatible models. Installation is relatively straightforward for a double-DIN Android radio, but with such a long compatibility list covering everything from older Tacomas and 4Runners to Camrys, Corollas, Tundras and Land Cruisers, I would definitely verify the factory connectors and audio system before ordering. Pros: wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, Android 13, IPS touchscreen, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, included backup camera, steering-wheel-control support, and broad Toyota compatibility. Cons: 2GB RAM and 32GB storage are fairly basic, the 7-inch display is smaller than today’s 9- and 10-inch units, and some older Toyota trims or factory amplified systems may require additional adapters. Overall, this is a good-value upgrade for someone who owns an older Toyota and mainly wants wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, navigation, Bluetooth, and a backup camera. It’s particularly appealing for keeping an older Tacoma, 4Runner, Camry, or Tundra on the road while adding the technology of a much newer vehicle. ... show more

Great Upgrade for an Older Tacoma
Size: 7in
I installed this 7-inch stereo in an older Toyota Tacoma because I wanted wireless phone integration without making the dash look out of place. The unit fits the older interior well, and wireless CarPlay has been the feature I use most. Navigation, playlists, and calls are easy to reach from the touchscreen, and Android Auto support makes the setup flexible for different phones. The Android 13 system with a four-core processor feels smooth for everyday use, and the 2GB RAM with 32GB storage is enough for the apps I keep on the unit. Built-in Bluetooth and FM radio give me simple options for shorter trips, while GPS and 5G Wi-Fi are useful when I want online maps or updated routes. I also appreciate the support for factory steering wheel controls and the included 170-degree rear camera. The camera comes on while reversing and gives a helpful view behind the truck. For an older Tacoma, the combination of modern connectivity and familiar controls makes this a very useful upgrade. ... show more

Modern Technology for an Older Toyota
Size: 7in
This radio completely transformed the driving experience in my older Toyota. The 7-inch touchscreen is bright, responsive, and fits the dashboard nicely without looking out of place. CarPlay and Android Auto connect smoothly, making navigation, music, calls, and messages easy to access while driving. Bluetooth works reliably, and the 5GHz Wi-Fi connection is fast when downloading updates or using online features. The menus are simple to navigate, and the screen responds quickly without noticeable delays. Installation was straightforward with the proper vehicle-specific wiring, and the finished setup looks clean and well integrated. It is an affordable way to add the technology found in much newer vehicles while retaining a factory-style appearance. Since several Toyota models are supported, confirm the dashboard shape and connections before ordering. Excellent upgrade. ... show more

7-inch Android 13 head unit with wireless CarPlay/Android Auto for select Toyota models
Size: 7inch
This iCarSEPTON 7-inch in-dash GPS receiver targets a wide range of Toyota dashboards, including Tacoma 1995–2004, 4Runner 1998–2002, Camry 1992–2001, Tundra 2000–2002, Sienna 1998–2003, Sequoia 2001–2004, T100 1993–1998, Corolla 1984–1997, and Land Cruiser 1992–2001. It runs Android 13 on a 4‑core CPU with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, and features a 1024 × 600 IPS touchscreen. Connectivity includes wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and 5 GHz Wi‑Fi, with onboard GPS and an FM tuner supporting 18 presets. The package includes a 170‑degree rear camera that engages when reversing, and the unit retains factory steering wheel controls. As a vehicle-specific 7-inch head unit kit, it may be considered by buyers seeking modern smartphone integration and navigation in older Toyota interiors. Confirm model-year fitment and dash configuration before purchase, and plan for installation steps such as wiring, steering‑wheel control setup, and rear camera placement. ... show more

Factory Fit Feel, Straightforward Upgrade
Size: 7in
This one leans more toward a clean, vehicle-specific upgrade rather than a flashy all-in-one setup. The fitment is really the highlight. It drops into the dash the way you’d expect from something designed for the Tacoma, and that alone makes a big difference compared to more universal units that can feel a little forced. Feature-wise, it covers the essentials without overcomplicating things. CarPlay support, simple interface, and a layout that doesn’t feel overwhelming. It’s not trying to be a full tablet replacement, which honestly works in its favor if your goal is just a better daily driving experience. Performance is pretty much in line with this category. Menus respond fine, nothing feels painfully slow, and it handles the basics like navigation and music without issues. It’s more about consistency than pushing high-end specs. What stands out here is the balance. It doesn’t overload with extras, but it also avoids the common pitfalls of cheaper universal units. The integration feels more natural, and that usually translates to fewer small annoyances over time. For buyers deciding between something like this and a more spec-heavy universal option, it really comes down to priorities. If a factory-style look and cleaner fit matter more, this makes a lot of sense. If raw specs and flexibility are the goal, there are other directions to consider. ... show more

Practical Tacoma Technology Upgrade
Size: 7in
I installed this seven-inch radio in my 2003 Toyota Tacoma to add navigation and a backup camera while keeping the dashboard simple. The included harness, GPS antenna, camera, and installation materials covered the main parts I needed, and the unit fit the double-DIN opening without requiring a large tablet-style screen. Wireless CarPlay now handles my daily maps, calls, and playlists, while the built-in Android system gives me offline navigation when cellular coverage disappears. The IPS display is clear from the driver’s seat, and Bluetooth calls sound better than they did through my old adapter. I also appreciate having FM presets and split-screen mode available without adding separate devices around the cab. The 170-degree camera is especially helpful when backing toward my utility trailer or parking near low obstacles. It switches automatically in reverse and provides a wider view than the Tacoma’s mirrors alone. Steering-wheel control support was easy to configure with my existing interface, and the 5GHz Wi-Fi connection makes map updates quicker. This is a well-rounded upgrade for an older truck that needed modern connectivity without an oversized display. ... show more

Very nice!
Size: 7in
Installed in a 2004 Toyota Tacoma. Fit in the dash with no issues. Carplay speed of achieving connection: Okay, takes about 30 seconds from turning on the car. Android Auto speed of achieving connection: Also okay, takes about 30 seconds from turning on the car. Display: bright enough to combat sunlight, but color washes out a bit, and there is some glare. UI responsiveness: Quite poor. But it's affordable and upgrades the look of the car enough that it may be excusable for your needs. DSP/sound quality: Average, not as good as stock unit, muddier with less defined treble and more chaotic mids. The sound adjustments are buried in menus and too complex to use while driving for quick adjustments. Installation: easy, included all harnesses, and Youtube tutorials for the car aren't too hard to follow. Ownership duration: Installed for over a month, works great so far. Overall: it's probably good enough for most people. ... show more
