We recently bought a full sized sofa bed and used it when we had family stay with us. The original mattress was a nightmare (no pun intended) and we barely slept an hour, tossing and turning, trying to get comfortable. We received this mattress around noon and after letting it expand for only 10 hours it slept like a dream (ok..that one was a pun). We did use a thin 'topper' on top of the mattress (it was on the original mattress too), but I don't think it would have mattered it we didn't use it. VERY comfortable. I purchased this to add onto the uncomfortable sofa bed in our motor home. We’ve used it twice now & it sleeps great. So I’m very happy our guests now have a comfortable place to sleep. The removable cover looks great & will make it easy to keep clean. There is a non slip backing so it doesn’t move around. Fits great on our full size. This might seem like a negative but my sofa bed wouldn’t close with this left on top. However, it comes with 2 heavy duty Velcro straps making it easy to roll up for storing on top of the master bed for travel. It was boxed well & vacuum sealed. It was easy to put on top of the bed. It says to let it sit for several hours to get the full thickness. But we used it within an hour & it was fine. As an added plus our friends liked it so much they bought one to put on top of their own bed at home. ... show more

Very comfortable mattress. I gave it a 4 star because I was hoping to replace the mattress that originally came with my sofa bed WITH THIS MATTRESS… Unfortunately this mattress does not fold into the sofa bed as I was hoping it would. Still this mattress is comfortable to sleep on.

Worse than the original that came with the sofa. 1. It is not 4.6", it is 3.5" after expanding for over 24 hours. It's so thin I can feel the bar of the frame whereas not with the old one. 2. It is not a true NihonRA mattress from Japan. It is a Chinese company that used a similar name to trick people, according to Gemini but I couldn't find any info on the company other than their trademark application so who knows. Once it's been expanded it's impossible to get it back in the box and return it so I've been screwed out of $190.00. ... show more
