This auger is ideal for digging holes for posts, metal spikes and metal poles. We used it today to dig a 2-foot hole for a metal post, it worked great. A two-handle post hole digger takes a lot of work and digs a large diameter hole. When all you need is a small diameter hole, this is perfect.
