  • Very good system!
Color: 8 Camera | 3TB
Jumped from a different system to this one, there is a learning curb on how to use it. Camera's hooked up very simply, adjustment and setting the camera's was very simple. Remove viewing is excellent and video playback is great. (runs a little slow, but still good) The sound quality when remote viewing is fantastic! I think this system is well worth the amount of $ for it. ... show more

  • 24/7 uninterrupted surveillance
Color: 8 Camera | 3TB
My CCTV set came with almost everything I needed. I got 8 white wireless bullet cameras including mounting hardware, the DVR, 8 AC adapters for the cameras, 1 AC adapter for the DVR, a small mouse but with fancy see-through body. There were no HDMI or VGA cables included. I could connect the DVR to my monitor and plug in all the cameras. The DVR initiated a boot wizard. When I click next, it showed me 3 qr codes, one to download the Apple respectively the Android companion app. The third qr code is the serial number. I clicked next. The next screen allowed me to change the machine name of the DVR in the local network, the DVR number, language, NTSC or PAL. It also let me change the recording behavior of the hard drive. I left it at default: overwrite. I left auto logout disabled, which is the default. The next screen was about time settings. I switched it to Eastern Timezone, and ticked on NTP for correcting the time. I left DST unticked. The network configuration was quick. I enabled DHCP and changed the DNS server. I left everything else at default. And that was the end of the wizard. I had to click on ok to reboot and apply the settings. The interface of the DVR is simple and I got quickly accustomed to the settings and functions of the DVR. There is a Preview/Desktop switch. In preview mode, I can change how many cameras and what cameras I can see at once by right-clicking the mouse and going to screen layout. I left it at default: all 8 cameras. When I double-click the left mouse button on any camera view, it makes this view full screen. To exit fullscreen, I double-click again. On the lower right, I can see network activity of each camera connected. When I click the launcher button in the lower left corner, I get a menu with many entries. I can add, remove cameras, set up the recording mode, manage my hard drive, adjust the output, backup my settings via an external USB drive and restore it later, upgrade the firmware. I can schedule auto-maintenance where it periodically reboots and I can choose whether or not to delete files of a certain age. I can view the log to see what changes I’ve done and see the BPS. Under record configuration, I can fine-tune each camera’s recording behavior and schedule. Playback allows me to view old footage. When I click on Network, I get the same networking configuration screen I had during the boot wizard. The GUI display allows me to change the name of a channel, and I can untick channel title, record status, alarm status, deflick and bitrate info. They are all ticked by default and I think it’s reasonable to have them ticked as they provide necessary information. The resolution can be changed too but I want to warn here. I learned from reddit that if I set the DVR to highest resolution, lower resolution displays may not be able to output an image and I might have to contact the manufacturer to revert to default resolution. I’m not sure if that's only a problem with VGA or also affects HDMI though. So, to be on the safe side, I leave it at 1920x1080. Under Alarm, I can set up motion detection, enable alerts for video loss, video blind, abnormalities of the hard disk or networking, and SMD (smart motion detection). Alarm input allows me to configure an external alarm. Under general, I see the same options as at the beginning of the boot wizard, where I can change the machine name, DVR number, language, video standard, HDD behavior when full and whether to enable auto logout. The Channel Type menu gives me a quick overview of all enabled cameras and allows me to disable any camera. What I found interesting is that the DVR separates recordings triggered by smart motion detection from the regular motion detection and I can view them under Smart Play. In the Smart Play screen, I can select to view footage of captured human or vehicular movement. There's a device info button but not much to see or do. I thought I could change the GUI theme but there's just one theme. I left everything as is. There's a section called Net Service in the main menu where I can set up services like PPPoE, UPnP, Dropbox, IP filter, email alerts, DDNS, FTP, RTSP and a few others. There a few other buttons in the main menu, such as the Version button that tells me the firmware version, mac address, serial number, build date, recording channels and the networking status. The control panel button has a few administrative options, some I already have mentioned. However, the user account option is only accessible through the control panel. Under Account, I can modify existing users, add and remove users and change the password of each user. Other options I find in the control panel is the system time, general settings again, GUI Display, video overlay, HDD manage, Tour, Auto Maintenance, Restore and Upgrade, and Import/Export. When I click on Cloud, it displays the qr codes again like in the boot wizard. The preview resolution is 1920x1080 according to information I got from the Channel Type menu. The picture is clear enough for me to recognize faces without effort. I was concerned in the beginning that I couldn’t hear anything. However, I discovered a discreet pop-up menu when I hover the mouse over the middle of the top edge. I click on audio and I can hear the input of the cameras mic. The volume is loud but I can understand speech close to the camera. The time overlay is white and large, not hard to read. It’s been over a month, and I never turned off the DVR except for the scheduled weekly reboot that takes a minute or less. Ive never seen an error or any other malfunction yet. ... show more

  • Great company to buy from and really good cameras
Color: 8 Camera | 3TB
I have one complaint and everything else is amazing. The cameras have a power and data cable, New models do not. Now that out of the way. Let me tell you I could not be happier. The system was simple to setup and the cameras have great range and signal. They are not super wide angle so place cameras on opposing angles for the best coverage. The hard drive was not recording when I first got it. You would think that would. e a negative but, I reaches out to the company on FB messenger and was contacted the next day. Time zone difference applies. Bottom line after two messages back and forth I was sent not one but two new power cable a couple days later. Now everything is running perfectly. I even bought a 9th camera and they messaged me just to make sure that nothing was wrong with the ones that came with the system. I would buy from them again. ... show more

  • Closed WiFi system. Excellent customer support!
Color: 8 Camera | 3TB
I recently upgraded my property’s security with the SANSCO Wireless CCTV Security Camera System, and I feel compelled to share my experience with this product and the customer support behind it. Product Performance: The [3TB WiFi Kit] with its 8-channel NVR and 3MP HD outdoor cameras has provided a clear and stable surveillance solution for my home. Installation was straightforward, and once set up, the system offered high-quality footage with excellent night vision capabilities. The general system, combined with the App/Email alerts, has given me peace of mind knowing that my property is under vigilant surveillance. Wi-Fi Connectivity: Initially, I faced challenges with the Wi-Fi connectivity of the cameras. However, with persistence and the right setup, the wireless functionality has been working flawlessly, offering both convenience and a clean, cordless (excluding power) setup. Customer Service: The true star of the show has been the customer service provided by SANSCO. When I encountered an issue with my DVR, the SANSCO support team, particularly HJ, went above and beyond to ensure a prompt and satisfactory resolution. Their responses were swift, courteous, and showed a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. HJ and the team provided clear instructions, were receptive to feedback, and when a replacement was needed, they handled it with efficiency and understanding. Furthermore, they were respectful of my concerns about data security and allowed me to retain the original hard drive – a testament to their customer-first approach. Final Thoughts: While no technology is without its hiccups, the support and warranty service from SANSCO were exceptional. They’ve not only provided a reliable security solution but also demonstrated that they stand firmly behind their products. For those considering a comprehensive security system, SANSCO is a brand that matches quality with outstanding customer service. Highly recommended for peace of mind and a secure home. ... show more

  • Great product and value!
Color: 8 Camera | 3TB
I'm not a techy and found this system fairly easy to set up, with a little help from a friend. Video and sound quality are great and now I have surveillance inside and outside my house. The app is convenient and easy to use so I can monitor my home when I'm away. I like the motion detection function so the camera only records when needed instead of all the time. I switched over from a subscription-based service and love that I no longer have a monthly fee! I'm very happy with the value for the money from this system. ... show more
