It did not connect right away, took some patience. However, when it finally connected, it worked fine for about two months. It is no longer working, at least not consistently. I've checked the batteries. I've gone back to using an ancient Fire remote from an older generation Fire Stick and my phone's down loaded remote.

I like that you can now connect it to your tv and control turning it off and on, and using the volume and there’s a mute button too! It’s marvelously better than the first remote that came with the fire stick! I’m very happy with this purchase!
