3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200 is a multi-purpose adhesive sealant made specifically for the marine market. This high-strength adhesive forms a weather-resistant seal. It's unique formula reacts with moisture and provides plenty of working time, taking up to 4 days to fully cure. Ideal for use above and below the waterline, it reliably bonds dissimilar materials including wood, fiberglass, gelcoat, plastics, and metals. Polyurethane sealants such as this form permanently flexible, elastomeric bonds that seal against the elements, maintain joint movement, and absorb stress caused by shock, vibration, swelling or shrinking. Such durability, versatility, and flexibility prepare 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200 for tough applications like sealing portholes, deck/hull fittings, rub rail attachment, screw holes, and stanchion supports.

I found a small tear in my above ground pool liner about a foot off the bottom. I was having to add water every day, and noticed water draining on the grass near the skimmer position so donned a mask and sure enough there was a small tear about the size of a nickel. I cut a piece of liner into a 2 inch circle and applied about a teaspoon of 5200, then applied it to the hole, 3 feet underwater. Apply a bead and work it into the seam-pretty simple. I used this in waders and it worked quite well The unused portion is to be frozen, and then thawed before reuse. I did this and it works. Cool

This stuff is pretty amazing. It holds up to sea water and just about anything else. This squeeze tube is shorter than the long tube that goes in a caulk gun so it is easier to get into tight places. It also seals better for a longer shelf life - downside is it’s more expensive in this container. Usage tip: wear gloves and only wear clothes that you don’t mind getting ruined 😳. ... show more
