Pleasantly surprised with the color matching. I scraped my stock alloy rim on a curb leaving the outer edge marred. To prepare, I sanded the deep gouges a bit to even out the surface and cleaned the area thoroughly. The paint goes on thin with a cap applicator brush and dries very quickly.

I recently used this paint for my rims and found it to be of good quality and relatively easy to use. The color matched my matte black rims perfectly, making it a better choice for me than black nail polish or other alternative. The paint has stayed on even after multiple washes so it seems durable. However, I did have an issue with the fine tip point--it only worked for one application before clogging. Since most off the rim rash I have is small, using the wide brush was not as convenient. I would say this is closer to flat black than matte black, I have a Ram with night edition, the wheels have a satin finish so I wasn't expecting a perfect match....but this has flat finish with zero sheen. Also has poor adhesion, comes off really easy. For the price not worth the hassle to return. But I would not recommend either. ... show more
