  • Great Competition Hat.
Color: Pink Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Vented with Uvicator
This is a very cute hard hat. It fit’s perfectly, and my teenager really loves it. The instructions are terrible. Luckily, a previous reviewer had good pictures and instructions, otherwise I would never have been able to figure it out. It’s used regularly for drone competitions, usually in a hot auditorium because they don’t want airflow from the air conditioning affecting the drones. So a tropical climate, with no AC and no fans running during many hours of competition. With no complaints about it getting too hot., so it was well worth the purchase. It’s comfortable, does what it’s supposed to do, and well-made. Just be sure to check other reviews if you have trouble putting it together. ... show more

  • This hat goes hard
Color: White Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Non-Vented with Uvicator
This hat is certainly a hard one; it protected my head for a solid eight months, with the exception of when I didn't wear it and received a head injury, but that's not the hat's fault. The brackets on the inside are a little difficult to install because sometimes they just don't seem to fit, but with enough force, you can get them in. It's pretty valuable to have in the industrial setting I work in. Not very heavy; not sure if that's good or bad, though. Pretty comfy cause it's got an adjustable strap. Looks dorky like any hardhat does. ... show more

  • Great fit
Color: White Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Vented with Uvicator
I bought this hat because one of my customers is having construction done and I needed it to be able to visit them. Having never worn one of my own before, I have to admit it was a little hard for me to understand how to put it together. I even asked the hubby, but he could not figure it out. But after a little bit of trial and error (plus a great YouTube video from 3M's website), I figured it out. After that I was ashamed it took so long, because it really is very easy. The hat is durable and perfect for my needs. It is easy to adjust the fit to any head and holds up well. As someone who wears makeup, it is also easy to clean it when the makeup rubs off on the inside. I bought this specific one because it was vented and I can say that really makes a difference when you have to wear it for the entire day. When I was borrowing the customers hard hats that were not vented, my head was soaked after an hour, but with this one, no sweaty head. It is also very comfortable. ... show more

  • MISSING KEY PARTS NEEDED TO WEAR HAT
Color: Green Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Vented with Uvicator
HARD HAT CAME WITHOUT THE SUSPENSION/HEAD GEAR SYSTEM AND WITHOUT THE UVICATOR RENDERING THE HARD HAT USELESS AND UNWEARABLE. SO MUCH FOR GIVING MY HUSBAND A NEEDED SAFETY ITEM HE NEEDED FOR CHRISTMAS. RETURNING ITEM DUE TO THESE REASONS

  • Good Hard Hat, One Point Off for Really Bad Instructions
Color: Grey Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Non-Vented with Uvicator
Many people have complained about the poor instructions for assembling the 3M hard hat, and while I have a good amount of experience using illustrative instructions for assembling things, I came to agree that 3M really needs to improve this. The main problem is the illustrations, where are anything but clear. Also, is it really necessary to publish the instructions on the same plastic bag the hat is packaged in? This makes for awkward handling of them, which was not helpful. Once you can see how this thing goes together, it's really very simple. So I suggest that 3M go back to the drawing board - literally - and use colors to show which parts need to be plugged into which slots in the hat. Or perhaps clear photos instead of drawings. Come on 3M, you're a major corporation that makes quality products, so I know you can do better. The hard hat itself met my expectation of a well-made product. It fits well, it's easy to adjust the fit with a clever knob in the back, and I feel like it will hold up during an impact from a falling item. The price can't be beat, so this product has a real value for the money. I just hope 3M's product people will listen to the many complaints here and improve the assembly instructions. ... show more

  • really like this new suspension system, noticeably more comfortable than the older stuff.
Color: Red Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Vented with Uvicator
I've been in construction for over 20 years and most of the affordable hardhats I've really liked have been 3m. they are priced rite and overall quite comfortable and it seems like 3m is consistently making small improvements to them. this new suspension system is a good example of that and their ability to think outside the box. this is currently the most comfortable suspension I have had on my head. this design keeps the tension at the forehead and at the base of the skull and it feels like I don't need as much tension for it to stay put. while the ratchet strap is the same as previous models, the forehead pad is very different. instead of the typical rigid plastic strap there is a bunch of small basically spring loaded pads that conform to the shape of your forehead and it practically eliminates the possibility of a hotspot. the old style can can sometime put too much pressure in a concentrated line across your forehead and after a while you have to shift the hat or remove it to alleviate the discomfort. with this design I only have to move it if I need to wipe sweat away or something, not because it's uncomfortable. the new suspension is also backward compatible with the older model hats, so if like me and have your name or some stickers on the one you use regularly, you can upgrade the suspension instead of replacing the whole hat. I'm definitely getting more of these suspensions for my other hardhats. overall I'm very pleased with it and cant really find anything negative to say about the hat. I do want to mention the first hat I received had the suspension missing from the bag. the bag it came in had no evidence of ever being sealed so it likely just fell out. I called amazon and as usual they promptly made it right by sending a new hat. this hat also arrived in an unsealed bag but it still had the suspension with it. I don't know if this is intentional or not, but there are likely a lot of them in the warehouse with missing suspensions. ... show more
