I used this to cover up some up some plastic that had become sticky on my Ableton Push. It was generally okay to work with, but it came a little curled/creased. Nothing the level that I couldn't fix when applying it to my old Push, though. This is great wrap material. Nice and thick, self-healing and durable. I know it’s durable because I wrapped my grill with it more than a month ago and no damage so far. The 3M color and finish is excellent and just as described. I only ordered a 1' x 5 piece for a small project. The sheet arrived, in typical Amazon packaging and shipping, but didn't have a roll core or anything like the product photo. So the sheet ended up kinda crushed and flattened as you see in the first photo with the tape. I reached out to the seller, who contacted me back promptly and said: "We are sorry to see this but the kit is very much usable and the creases minor. These will iron out with a heat gun and squeegee.". The second photo is the result of about 45 minutes pressing with a hot iron and a mat and burnishing with a felt edge. It is flatter, but not flat. Certainly not as flat as it could have been with decent packing. The bungs every few inches from where the envelope was folded never came out. But it was able to mount on the sticky mat for cutting and I was able to fit my design around those really bad spots for the most part. Maybe if I ordered more material it would have been packed properly. But I wouldn't order more, what is essentially a scrap, at the 5sqft price and I probably wouldn't risk a larger order getting similar treatment. The product photo shows a sophisticated shipping tube with outer box. Probably unwarranted on the small orders but who can say where the order threshold is to get good packing like that? ... show more

We’ve applied several wraps before but this wrap something didn’t feel right about it and as we were in the processes of placing and glassing our process to get wrinkles out and bam it tore way too easy. Kinda scared to even order more bc sadly I know we won’t get a refund for this. Idk if bad round of 3m vinyl or what but was surprised at the ease of tear. ... show more

I ordered two rolls of this to begin with. I had so much fun with this product, I ordered and ordered two more rolls twice as wide twice as long. Both orders arrived in perfect condition. No smashed rolls. I agree a cardboard inner tube would be nice for piece of mind, but all in all it should arrive without being smashed by shipping. Regarding wrapping, I have now performed small and large wraps. Both with cutouts and insets, and without. Remember to wrap as much as possible without more than 10% stretch. Then warm to stretch within insets and curves. When warming test a piece to break through it so you know the plasticity of the stuff and your margin for error. With that in place u can wrap and re-finish almost any surface. And you can trust it’s heat and finish won’t curl because it is designed for complete external use. I’m using it on non-external car surfaces, dash, armrest console, headliner, details. Has worked better than I expected with a factory look (if you have a steady cut hand). ... show more

I put on this wrap by myself without any problems. Best wrapping paper to work with for a beginner. Sticks well, easy to get out the bubbles and it looks great. A+++ 3M 1080 and 2080 are the best wrap that I've worked with.
