Many power stations use what they call a DC 8mm port. Unfortunately, there are two different ones that are called that. The 7909 and the 8020. Luckily with this cord you have both! The MC4 connectors are of the type that you need a tool to easily disconnect (some are designed for easy thumb disconnect), and the cord is both 12 AWG from the solar panels and 14 AWG to the Jackery. This is plenty of current for one solar panel, but if you are using two 20v 200w solar panels, or one 400w one, 14 AWG is not enough. Keep that in mind. That being said, because it's only 10 feet, this is most likely to be used outside with portable solar panels so you don't need to worry too much, and I connected it with one of mine. 147 watts out of my 200 watt renogy. Pretty solid! So as long as you are keeping in mind that it's only 10 feet and you can't really do more than 15 amps with it, it's great. ... show more

This item is made to connect to the MC4 connectors on a solar panel and plug into a power station that has either a 7.9x0.9 mm jack or an 8.0x2.0 one. I measured it to be 16.5 feet from the end of the main plug to the end of the MC4 connectors. I also confirmed the continuity of each cable to be sure they made the correct connections to a solar panels plus and minus MC4 connectors. It is very easy to read the gauge of the wires used. The wires from the MC4 connectors are 12 awg. Those in the orange cable are 14. Those were debossed into the plastic. This cable plugged into my 7.9x0.9 jack on the power station just fine. ... show more
