Dinosaur Institute was a super fun build! I love dinasours, so had to get this kit. Very good instructions, pieces are very sturdy and colorful. Also B7000 glue, a filing board,and screwdriver were included. Pieces fit well also. This would also be a great project for a child to do with a parent. I highly recommend this kit to all age groups, basic modeling skills to advanced!!

This is a fun kit and well made. The wood is thick and cut very well. The pieces pop out easily and it comes with a small sanding file to take off the edges where the pieces were still in it's cut out. The holes where the pieces go are cleverly cut so there is room to get the peg in but so it is not too hard to get it in. (Check out the picture to see what I mean) I found this categorized under 'puzzle' but it is definitely not a puzzle as it comes with detailed instructions. The instructions are great, but it needs to be classified properly as something other than a puzzle. This comes with lights and a tube of glue, so it is meant to be permanent. That being the case, I really wish it had come with some acrylic to be used as a dust case like you often see on those miniature house kits. I do a lot of crafts like those miniatures, so I already have the acrylic sheets I want to make it dust-proof, but for other people, this really should come with acrylic sheets. On the matter of acrylic sheets, these have the protector on the pieces meant to imitate glass, but because it is laser cut with the protector still on it is really hard to get them off. I have no idea what could be done to fix that, but it should be considered. Not worth marking it down a star, but it is annoying.

Only 3 stars because box did not include instructions on how to assemble the book nook. Wood looked thick and high quality. I was looking forward to this book nook. It looked like it would be cute when assembled but I now have a useless product without instructions.

This is a solid kit with a lot of fun details. The dinosaur museum theme is unique and makes for a really eye-catching book nook once it’s assembled. The LED lights add a cozy, museum-like atmosphere that really brings the whole scene to life. Assembly took a bit of patience, but it was manageable and enjoyable—it’s the kind of project where you can just get lost in the process. The pieces fit well, and the instructions were clear enough to follow without much frustration. Overall, it’s a great kit for anyone who enjoys miniatures, puzzles, or just loves dinosaurs. I’d definitely recommend it as a gift or as a creative weekend project.

All of the pieces came out of the cards without problems, and no breakage. Assembly was pretty easy, with only a few pieces that needed sanding. The kit included a sanding stick so that was easily done. Everything fit together nice and tight. Instructions were generally pretty clear and easy to follow. Color and printing quality is outstanding and everything looks really nice after assembly. My only complaint is that the included glue was partly dried up in the tube. Not really a problem since I had some of my own, but be aware you might need a small tube of glue. Fun project that took my partner and I about 60 minutes to complete. The included lights are a nice touch. Lots of fun!

My goal was to find a 3D puzzle that I could do with a nine year old. She has watched me build book nooks and puzzles many times, and thought it looked like fun. This was a great product to teach her on, because she loves dinosaurs. The directions were easy for her to read and understand. There were only 147 pieces in this, and many pieces are large. We worked on it for an hour at a time, so she wouldn't lose interest. The pieces are sturdy, and the puzzle looks great. The best part is that she wants to build more.

Got this as a gift for my child’s 10th birthday. While the listing says it’s for ages 14+, they really enjoy puzzles and building things, so I thought it might be a good fit—and I think it will be! The design is super detailed and creative, like a miniature dinosaur museum tucked inside a bookshelf. I also picked up a pack of AAA batteries since it includes little lights that bring the whole scene to life once it’s built. The quality of the pieces seems solid—laser-cut wood with clean edges and nice detail. It feels like a well-made kit, though some parts are delicate and may need a gentle touch during assembly. We haven’t finished building it yet, but I’m sure it’ll turn out great and make a really cool addition to their room. Just a heads-up: the pieces are small and may require some adult help, especially for younger builders. But overall, it’s a fun and rewarding project for kids who love puzzles and dinosaurs.
