First of all, let me say that I would certainly recommend this burner and heat plate replacement kit for your Home Depot Charmglow BBQ Grill and have no hesitations to purchase it again when needed. Pictures attached, are showing my old, destroyed, burner tubes that I replaced with this Burner and Heat Plate kit. I had read reviews that the 3 Stainless Steel heat plates were bent with too high of an angle and would hit the grill racks. This concerned me but I took a chance. I have to tell you that yes, they do hit the grill racks right out of the box. BUT I simply put them on a cement surface (one at a time) and lightly stepped down on the peak of the heat plate with my bare foot to “feel” how much I was bending it without bending the plates too much with a heavy shoe or boot on my foot. I stepped LIGHTLY on the heat plate to bend it slightly to a more flat shape without stepping all the way down on it. This worked perfectly. Just do one heat plate at a time and test fit each heat plate with each slight bend “A LITTLE AT A TIME”. You don't need to smash the heat plate all the way flat. Just push the peak downwards slightly with your bare foot and test fit with each slight bend with the grill rack to see if the grill rack hits the peak of the heat plate. You will find that this works perfectly. Some reviewers have said that bending the heat plate downwards caused the heat plates to be too wide and thus, not having a small gap between each heat plate making them fit too tight. I found this NOT to be true at all on my Home Depot Charmglow 720-0230 because I bent the heat plates just a tiny bit at a time while test fitting with each bend. Don't go crazy and try to flatten them all of the way. Just tiny adjustments (bends) at a time. BE PATIENT ! Also, I noticed what “may” be causing the heat plates to fit snugly on some peoples grill was the fact that around the edges where the heat plates sit, there was a bit of gunk or hardened grease causing any gap to be reduced. So I took a putty knife and scrapped any and all hardened grease/gunk. This made for a more perfect (loose) or proper fit. Remember, the gap between the heat plates does not need to be huge and modifying the heat plates in the slightest way with my bare foot and test fitting the plates with the grill rack on top after each slight bend, was all you need to do. A little at bend at a time is the secret sauce ! My assumption is that maybe the manufacturer put an ever so slight excessive bend in the heat plates simply for packaging purposes and assumes that if you have the skills necessary to handle a screwdriver and you can figure out how to replace these burners and heat plates, then you can figure out how to adjust the angle of the heat plates with a simple bend. Some reviewers have assumed that the heat plates are not stainless steel. Well after removing my old, original Charmglow heat plates and seeing them entirely rusty, pitted, and stained, these new heat plates appear to be of the same quality or better as the original Charmglow heat plates and have a chrome-like appearance as such polished stainless steel does. I did not put a magnet on the heat plates to verify if they were indeed stainless steel. But they sure looked like polished Stainless Steel and at this price point of around twenty-five dollars (USD), I was happy with the out-of-the-box quality. If this concerns you, just put a household magnet on any stainless steel. It the object sticks to the magnet, then it has a high iron content and may not be of the highest stainless steel grade. High grade stainless steel will not stick to a magnet. But keep in mind that this is a replaceable item and the economical price makes this burner kit worth the money. As for the burners, the burners appeared to be of the same quality as the original burners on my Charmglow 720-0230 BBQ Grill from Home Depot. My old burner tubes were completely destroyed, rotted, and split with large chunks of metal missing from all of the old burner tubes. On the new burner tubes, there is an adjustable door at the end of each tube at the end nearest the control valve which acts like a venturi door allowing oxygen in to the tube near the valve. It may also be an opening to allow the spark from the igniter to reach the propane in the tube to ignite it. This is a simple, sliding door adjustment with one screw and is easy to open up or close the amount the little door is open with a simple screw driver. I must say however, that since no instructions were included with this burner replacement kit, I did not know how much to open up this little sliding door so I just guessed at it and put it at half-open before installing and securing each burner tube. The burners that I took out of my grill had the doors open all the way (fully open) but they were very old and rotted so I don't know what the original setting was. So let that be your guide. It would have been nice if simple instructions for that adjustment were included. CONS – No small stainless steel screws to secure the burner tubes to the back of the BBQ Grill were included and this would have only cost the manufacturer a penny or two (one or 2 cents) and probably not even that much. When I removed my old, tiny screws (2 for each burner tube), I broke the screw head off of one of these tiny screws. Since each burner tube required 2 tiny stainless steel screws, and since the tubes sit on a small ledge on my model, which prevents the tubes from twisting or turning, I chose to just settle for one screw at those burner tubes and I think that will be adequate. If not, I can always reconsider this later. ANOTHER CON, as I have already mentioned, no instructions were included at all with this kit and I really did need to know how to adjust the little (venturi) door openings on the burner tubes near the valves. This important piece of paper would not have cost the manufacturer anything more to include and I feel that including this would have eliminated any review complaints. CONCLUSION: At this price point of twenty five dollars, I would certainly recommend this burner replacement kit for your Home Depot Charmglow BBQ Grill and I would surely purchase this kit again when my BBQ Grill needs to be spruced up again. In my opinion, this kit is a PERFECT FIT and a great bargain and is completely worth a try before throwing out your old grill and replacing it with another one for hundreds of dollars more. The model of my 3-Burner Home Depot Charmglow Bar-B-Que Grill is Model 720-0230. Being that our stainless steel Charmglow Grill is very old (12+ yrs), we were skeptical about finding replacement parts that would properly fit. Not only did the burner tubes and shields fit perfectly, they were very easy to replace and reasonably priced. Our old grill has now been invigorated and is good for another 12+ years!

Well made and fit my Charmglow gas grill perfectly. This is the third time that I replaced the burners and heat plates on this grill over many years of heavy use. This set of burners and heat plates are far better constructed than replacement parts previously ordered by other manufactures. The grill works like it did when it was new. I plan to order this again when the current set need replacing.
